The operational history of the Lugar may be of particular interest to the general reader. Nothing succeeds like a useful weapon, and this Osprey Weapon Series book has the details, backed by technical specifications, details of weapons trials, photographs, and illustrations. This reviewer was particularly interested in the author's comparison of the Lugar with its World War I and II principal competitors. Well recommended.

Reasonable book but quite thin. Would have liked to have seen more on the mechanics and function of the Luger as it is so unique. Just one cut away.
