Useful information!
Honestly, I was very surprised. "Self-resisistance" just seemed kind of wimpy...? Lol... but I figured, it's been around a long time. Try it. It's great! I love not messing with weights and bands and I've absolutely seen results after just a month. The book itself does not feel like an impressive publication, but the information is very useful, very functional. I recommend it for people who don't have gym access or who travel a lot. It works.

Classic information with a modern twist
Awesome information. I recommend this as a warmup before hitting the weights and cardio. You’ll see a difference after your workout, with this book!

It is the real thing
It is the real Isotonic Bible. The exercises work if you do them correctly. It was worth the price.

This is a book that every self - resistance trainee must have.
Marlon Birch has excellent self-resistance routines in this book. I loved the different workouts ( split and full body workouts) , etc . The workouts are very intense and demanding , but , I can already see some muscle new muscle growth from my workouts. Dont buy it.
I give 2 stars becaise of the exercises but they r no different then his other books. Same stuff dissapointed really expected more from this man. A different title doesn't make it better.

Self Restance Training at it's best
This is an excellent addition to any library of someone who enjoys self resistance workouts. I enjoyed it and found it useful.

Not worth it
Don't bother buying this, none of the exercises here are going to get you ripped at all or even bulky.

Rehash Soup!
The basic idea of this book is good, but is poorly written and edited. Confusing! Much of the information here is just a rehash of his other books, including photos. What would be more affective and beneficial would be to get permission to reprint the Charles Atlas course, but to interject personal comment and personal experience. An organized exercise plan would also be beneficial.Some photos appear to be identical to other authors' work!I own two of Mr. Birch's other books that are good material, but this seems like a rush job that does a lesser job of saying the same things.

Before you buy any exercise equipment or programs, read this book!
This is a great book for anyone who is looking to get in the best shape of their life. It can even be achieved without using any equipment as outlined with the various exercises and routines. Many exercises are explained and shown to work all the major muscle groups with an explanation on their functional importance. Although some exercises are demonstrated using chairs or crates, there are alternative self resistance and bodyweight exercises explained which will develop the same muscle group. The exercises and routines utilize self resistance, bodyweight and isometrics which enables a person to get an incredible workout anywhere at anytime. I am an enormous fan of Charles Atlas and have carried out the Atlas workouts which are very effective. But, Marlon Birch has taken the Atlas exercises to a whole other level by creating a combination of exercises and routines to show the world what can be achieved with self resistance or Isotonic exercises. I personally use the exercises 6 days a week and have even carried them out with my martial arts students to increase their overall strength and conditioning. "The Power Isotonics Exercise Bible" truly demonstrates how a person can exercise with a mind-body connection to achieve incredible conditioning and ultimately change their life. If your new to self resistance or isotonic exercises, this book will change your outlook on how to exercise forever!

Don't over do it
Used this in my teens.now 75 and use it to keep fit
