Windsock is inexpensive but well made, works as it should. FYI for ease of use, so it can turn freely, I went to a sporting goods store and got some large fishing swivels. The snap on to the sock & then attach it to a pole; worked great

This windsock works well. I can only give it 4 stars because, as other reviews have noted, it is not intended or designed for long term durability. I have only had it up a month, but my guess is it won't go 6 months. Time will tell. I would guess its longevity is similar to a typical nylon flag or somewhat better. At the current price, however, it is a bargain and I bought another one. I would definitely buy one again. Keep in mind, this is not a heavy duty Airport grade commercial windsock which are VERY expensive. Bottom Line: great little windsock for the price.

I buy this same wind sock every two years. I have it out all year round in the hot Palm Springs CA weather and it endures huge winds and hot sun. It does fade slightly with time, so I replace it every two years. Everyone in the neighborhood says they look at it daily to see which direction the wind is blowing and how strong the gust are. My husband uses it for flying remote control airplanes over the desert behind our home. He made a very tall metal pole and it is high above our house, very visible.

We use these at our community's pickleball courts. They replaced small flags which really weren't very accurate. The windsocks perfectly show the direction and indicate wind speed. Definitely recommended for pickleball and tennis courts.

Good so far

This won’t last past a year outside, but at a cost of 8 dollars you can just buy a new one each year.I picked this up to show wind direction at our sailboat docks. We get quite a bit of wind.After 5 months it was structurally intact (no tears and all the stitching was holding), but the vibrant orange had faded to a pale orange. Based on the condition of the material, it’s not acting like it is UV resistant and expect it will start shredding within a year of being placed outside.

The media could not be loaded. It works like it should. The straps broke on last one I bought from a different site. This one is holding up nicely.
