Great for busy radiology dictation
I am a radiologist and work from home quite a bit. One less wire getting in the way is a big deal. The wireless SpeechMike install was seamless. Plug and play. Integrated with my voice recognition software instantly without any new drivers or software. Works just like my wired SpeechMike. Battery seams to work all day. I like the charging dock, small/compact and doesn't get in the way. I've had it for about a month and love it. If you set it down for a bit, it does seem to have a sleep mode which I didn't realize at first and I thought it was not syncing correctly but now I just place it in the dock if I am going to step away from my deck or am taking a while to look through a case. Overall very pleased and would buy again. Phillips is a very reliable manufacturer and I don't doubt it will last while.

Love it
Used another Mike brand for years. This has dramatically better voice recognition. The only problem is syncing it. It syncs and works but at times the app has told me it’s not connected but it still works. The Philips usb dongle has helped but I’m still working out how to know it’s connected. Still a vast improvement. ADDENDUM. Got the syncing problem fixed. This mike is so superior, it makes voice to text almost error free. Fantastic product!

A bit expensive but excellent product.
I bought this product strictly to use as a wireless mike for dictating radiology reports with powerscribe 360. I wanted a hands free device that did not go over my head/ears. I put it in shirt pocket and it has great voice recognition. The battery lasts for at least a day or two. A fantastic device. Previously I had been using a desktop yeti microphone which worked nicely but wasn’t wireless and didn’t work well with background noise present. I have also used a dictaphone placed into my shirt pocket but don’t like the cable.

Does not work
This is either defective unit of Philips screwed up. It keeps vibrating even if this is only two feet away, tried different location for base all the same. I am back to using my wired Philips mike. Waste of money. I am physician and have been using Dragon speech recognition for last ten years. I thought it will be good investment to get rid of wires from my desk, I was wrong. Bad product for doctors, we do not have time to deal with defective products. It keeps vibrating all the times, which is indication for failed connections.

Easy to install and extremely accurate
I am a long-time user of Dragon Naturally Speaking products and currently use Dragon Professional Individual 15. The last seven or eight years, I have been using a Phillips SpeechMike Pro, but over the years, the dock no longer charged the microphone properly, and I had to buy several sets of batteries and wound up constantly switching them out. Very inconvenient. When I saw this new microphone, the SpeechMike Premium Air, I was ready for a new microphone, and so far I am very impressed. I've only installed it in the last day or two, but it has remarkable accuracy, and it was easy to set up. It is working very well with Dragon Professional, and the transition from the older microphone to this new one, has been virtually seamless. If you are using Dragon speech recognition software, this microphone is definitely worth a look.

Expensive but worth it.
Cons: gotta lug the usb base around if you use it with a laptop, also may have to get accustomed to turning mic on and off instead of push to talk, randomly vibrates (yes, vibrates) and, well, it’s expensive. Pros: supremely accurate, battery lasts all day, chordless (really makes a difference) and it works even if the charger/base is in the next room. Also has a nightrideresque red LED when its recording. I spend a lot of my day documenting with dragon medical, so when my usb mic went on the fritz, I decided to make this investment and it’s definetly a step up. For me, it’s been worth the price tag. What-I-wish-I-had-known: with my old mic that came with dragon, dragon would sense that the microphone record button was physically pressed and automatically turn the application microphone on then off- AKA “push to talk.” In my experience, for this mic to record in dragon you have to first turn on the dragon software mic (ie make the application icon go from red to green) and leave it on so that it will receive when you hit the record button on the speechmike. You only have to do this one time after you open the dragon medical app and load your profile- but if you don’t do this, you may be fooled into thinking your speechmike doesn’t work and miss out on using this randomly vibrating but no less awesome chordless microphone.

Accurate and easy to use
Was hesitant to buy because of the reviews, but it’s a game changer. Now I’m an ER doc using Dragon dictate and it connects seamlessly, and is definitely more accurate than the worse version. Took me a year to bite the bullet and click ‘buy’, but glad I did. Makes my shift easier…:( it’s all about the little things).

Not all it is cracked up to be!
Not as awesome as I was hoping for. This does seem to be the only handheld mic that is designed to work with Dragon and to work on a Mac. It also is suppose to gives the ability to program buttons on the microphone to preform commands without having to put your hands on the keyboard. The problem is the software to program the microphone for mac does not come out until July 2018, from what the Phillips help desk reports. They are currently suggesting to use software for the SMP3700. This kind of works and kind of does not. Not sure how much of this is because Dragon Medical for Mac has also been quirky to say the least. I can not seem to get the program buttons to accept dual button commands (Shift + Tab). I can program Tab and it works, but not the dual buttons. I use an Olympus USB microphone at work on M-Modal and I was hoping for similar functionality, but the SMP4000 with Dragon Medical has not been nearly as functional. I will give credit in that it works well for a cordless microphone. Not sure if it is worth the cost! Would be more happy with a USB microphone that worked the way it is supposed too. Will see if the new software in July helps.

Easy to set up and use
It is easy to set up this product with the simple steps provided by the manufacturer. It works very well for me, and the speech-to-text function is accurate. The wireless feature provides freedom of movement and reduces the clutter of wires in the working area.

Qualität produziert in Österreich. 🇦🇹
