Very effective and reliable
I used this tent awning on my cross country trip. It is easy to install and easily withstood the rain and wind. Would definitely buy it again.

Better than expected
I took my camping rainfly out for the first time in four rainy days and nights of camping in New Hampshire. My wife and I and our two dogs have a Roadloft camper kit in a Chyrsler Pacifica. It's the first time for the Roadloft too (it performed well). The rainfly worked great! Kept the rain out, offered lots of fresh air with the liftgate open, kept the bugs out, and gave us extra space for the dogs and gear, and a dry roof for cooking. I was able to drive in and out with the rainfly in place by marking on the ground where my rear tires were, and just backing into the same spot when we returned. At first I struggled a bit to get it connected right, but once you figure it out (and follow directions), it's fairly easy. It helped when I held the rear liftgate down a bit while placing the rainfly over. It seems to be a quality product, like a good tent. It helps for two people to set it up, but one can do it. Recommended.

Fits 2021 RAV4 pretty good
Fits 2021 RAV4 pretty well. Gives room to stand, change clothes, escape from bugs & have privacy while camping/sleeping in the car. Room for a small table, cooler & two standard camp foldIng chairs inside.I do put a cheaper blue type tarp under it to protect the bottom, as a ground cloth. A 6x8 tarp will fit and have a little extra to slide under the car a bit for extra clean storage space. Many campgrounds have gravel campsites which will deteriorate the floor quickly. This is a very cheap way to help turn your hatchback car/suv into a little camper.Improvements I would recommend in the next series… a little stronger material throughout for longevity, a little bit bigger storage bag and add 2 loops at the top to attach to roof rails on the car.Over all I would recommend and would buy again. It is a inexpensive tent. But it’s functionality is very useful to me.

This hatchback tent came in pretty handy.
We took this on a 4 week road trip, stopping in campgrounds along the way. It sets up pretty easily, and keeps the bugs out effectively. It gives our small dog an extra area to lounge in, also. Having the rain fly gives full privacy when desired. The only complaint (if you can call it that), is that we were never able to roll it back up the same as we took it out of its carry back, and were never able to get it back into its bag.We didn't have any issues with the quality - all the screen meshes were sewn properly, all the zippers worked, the magnets around the edge of the back of the van kept the screens flat to the surface.Of course, the caveats applied - it's not easy to come and go with your vehicle without packing it back up, you can't idle your vehicle (without a heatshield exhaust diverter), and other issues that are a nature of the design, but we knew this going in (thanks to other reviews), so we set our expectations accordingly. We'll keep using it.

Awesome with realistic expectations
This tent is a really cool idea, as long as you go into it with realistic expectations. We've used it on my wife's outback for camping - the only real complaint I have is that over the course of the night, the weight of the tent slowly pulls the rear hatch down...but that's an issue with pistons not providing enough resistance, not with the tent itself. There is just enough space on the ground to inflate a queen-sized air mattress, so it is fairly roomy if only being used by one or two people. For day use, two people sitting in the car and two people in camp chairs is perfectly comfortable - I think if absolutely necessary, you could fit four camping chairs, but it would be very crowded, and you'd basically be knee-to-knee.The mesh sides do a pretty good job of keeping bugs out, but do not allow any airflow unless a strong breeze is blowing. Still better than being in a completely closed vehicle, but not great on a muggy summer evening (again, realistic expectations). Bugs, especially June Bugs which were very prevalent in our area of PA this summer, work their way between the rainfly and the mesh, and crawl & buzz around all night in an annoying way (yet again, realistic expectations - just anticipate these things). We used the rainfly to keep dew out of our bedding, which worked well, but did not use it in any actual rain yet, so I can't speak to how well that works. I do worry that rain will run down the sides of the car and pool up in the bottom of the tent, but I can't say for sure whether that will happen yet.Overall, it is a really neat idea and works really well for what it is. Don't expect any magic from it, and you'll be very happy. If I could change one thing, it would be to design it in such a way that the tent doesn't block the car exhaust, so the car could be started for short periods of time...but honestly, this is a safety issue for carbon monoxide anyway, so it's probably best that it's not even an option.
