Hammer Battery Lug Crimping Tool for 8, 6, 4, 2, 1/0, 2/0, 3/0, 4/0 American Wire Gauge (AWG) Wire and Cable

I am doing a Cargo trailer conversion and installing a few lights and water pump. I am going to be using a high amp/hour battery for my source power. I need # 6 AWG wires between the battery, shunt and fuse box. In short, I don't need to have hundreds of crimp connections. This worked perfect for me. The spring popped out once on me as I hit it with the hammer , but it wasn't sitting flat on the concrete. It popped right back in and has been fine since. I also used heat shrink tubes over the crimps. Low price for just a few crimps and it worked great.

Great tool for crimping large battery terminals. It was used to lay cables to an inverter in our RV. It made my job a whole lot simpler.

This isnt the best way to crimp 2/0 fittings BUT if you are equipping a old guy that cant understand the newer ratchet type OR the better tools walk away, this is the next best way. One huge smack with a hammer does the trick. Not the prettiest but it works. eazy to store and like I mentioned not expensive.

Very sturdy high quality crimper. I used this in conjunction with other lugs that are available here on amazon and it has performed flawlessly. I primarily use it to crimp large wires for car audio systems, big 3 upgrades, and similar purposes. I use it in a vice to crimp wire and torque the heck out of it and it leaves me with a quality crimp that I know will perform well for a long time. Product claims to be rated to be used with a hammer but I just don't like the idea of using a hammer to crimp a wire when you can get some serious torque on it with a good vice. Overall would recommend and buy again.

This tool is the best for crimping large electrical connectors. I’ve used it for connectors larger than #8 AWG. It’s very easy to use and easy to get professional results. I recommend to any one needing to crimp connectors on larger size cables.

I've had mine for over a year it's a great product very reliable I've don't so much wire with this it paid for its self I definitely recommend it
