Thus unit is advertised as working with all Samsung TV's, I'm here to tell you this is incorrect. I sent this to my 83 year old Mum and told her that she only needed to add batteries and it will work out of the box (sellers guarantee). Mum did as instructed and all she got was "no signal, no signal" each time she tried to run up the channels!! I contacted the seller to ask for a solution....this us what they told me.. If there is a streaming stick or DVD attached to the TV it will interfere with the signal and the unit will not function!!! Have you heard anything like this in your life....no, neither have I. They offered to send another unit if there was no DVD or streaming stick attached to Mum's TV......well Mum is intending to buy a DVD player so, NO, a replacement wouldn't be any good..... I cannot believe in this day of great technology you have a supplier stating that their unit doesn't work if a DVD or streaming stick is added to a TV, well HELLO! The unit doesn't work on all Samsung TV's as claimed, even those without a DVD or Streaming stick attached..... Time to update your listing DON'T YOU THINK!!

UPDATE!! After a few months use . I’m reducing my star rating! The remote has developed an annoying issue when adjusting the volume, it powers the tv off!! Looks, feels , & works just like the original! Apart from the annoying fault! No setting up required, linked up & worked with the tv straight away.

The best budget option out there. It works perfectly and is very easy to set up. Comes with a huge index of compatible devices with setup codes.

I found the remote confusing to setup at first. But after several failed attempts i got it partially working on my Toshiba Smart TV. The Instructions come with a massive list of 4 digit codes you tap into the remote for your specific device. On a tiny sheet of paper i might add. In the end i had over 40 numbers to try and about 10 of those worked. I could turn the TV on and off, change the volume and channel and the numbers worked. Every other button didn't work. So i dont have access to any menus, tv guide, setup ect on the tv. It's made my tv usable now, because it doesnt have any manual controls, so in that respect it was worth getting but in hindsight, i should have searched for and bought the specific remote for my specific model of tv. I advise you to do the same. Hope my experience helps someone.

Well it worked perfectly , so there's that. No problems connecting etc. Feels cheaper plastic/build and slightly smaller than the real thing but hey; thats fine. What isnt fine is the select button fell out after 3 weeks use - just fell out and wont stay in - so now its useless. So if you are gentle and lucky you might be fine - it does work - but dont expect Samsung build quality.
