Kettler Rower not bad
I have now had the machine for a month or so. Assembly wise it was easy to assemble with just a little planning. I checked the parts and according to the manual I was to have an item (cannot remember the number) which looked like a spring that I did not have. I decided to go on with the build and found it was not needed nor shown in the assembly diagram. Now that I have been using it for a while I find that the front part of the machine lifts up slightly with every pull of the pully which I find annoying. I folded up a carpet and placed it under the front to increase the distance from the floor to the machine's front. Also the seat seems to be making a noise with every forward and backward movement which may indicate that it needs some lubrication. It isn't a bad machine although I had a better opinion of German technology. Would I recommend it to a friend? Well I do not think it is a bad machine as nothing is perfect I suppose however, if I found another European make maybe I would try it. Honestly though it was not my first choice, however I was confronted with delivery restrictions.Amazon,s delivery was great it arrived within a week and I am outside the UK.

Very good value for money
Very happy for the price. I'm heavier than the intended weight but it feels very sturdy. Resistance is great, a slight "click/snap" can be felt on the cord on it's retraction but you get used to it and it doesn't affect the function at all. Manoeuvrability is a bit of a faff but possible.

ok BUT!!
Due to a claim that this was dispatched early, I was charged twice - fortunately I noticed this on my bank statement!Assembly was easy, but complicated by the instructions. You don't expect the left side to be marked with an "R" and vice versa. This was further complicated by the fact that the foot rests were correctly labelled. Thus a half hour job took nearly two hours. After correct assembly it worked well; except that folding for storage is a very fussy business, involving unscrewing a locking bolt and removing / replacing a locking pin in two chassis holes, with no guide between them.

Very good value but.....
I now use this product. It's pretty good value but only now it's assembled correctly. This took some doing and I'm no amateur at assembling Kettles made products. The instructions did NOT agree with some of the visual diagrams, and the parts list it says you should check on arrival is an absolute farce. Some of the parts are described incorrectly and the list is HUGE, it lists every single part most of which come pre assembled as despatched so are impossible to check off before assembly. Having moaned about all this, if you really keep your wits about you and use a fair amount of logic then you get there about 6 hours later and the end product is well worth the trouble. Just one more little problem...the display panel does not stop at your chosen option ( eg: say Strokes in this session), it keeps cycling through all the data and when you are concentrating on rowing you haven't a clue what you are seeing. I've got round this by also purchasing a Garmin Vivoactive 3 smart watch which does a splendid job of giving you very detailed info on your Workout and will deal with Indoor Rowing as one of it's activity options (a really brilliant piece of kit). Overall I would give this rowing machine 4.5 stars.

Brilliant value for money!!!!
its far less noisy than a fan rower and more stable than a hydraulic one... easy to assamble and not so expensive: good buy,i'm very satisfied.

easy to assemble
I had read reviews saying this rowing machine is difficult to construct, its not. The few bolts/screws needed to construct the main sections were packaged very clearly, laid out on a cardboard sheet with plastic covering describing each item and how many there should be. Tools were also provided. Ignore the 'exploded view' in the instruction book, you don't need to refer to it. So easy to construct, I did so on my own and so far using the rower is good exercise. Would recommend
