Don't want another reels in my life
After 8 years spending money in diferent brands I meet with Shimano , this is the best reel I have in my life. I go out to fish 3 or 4 times to salt water and just rinse with a little bit of water, just one time I did mainance and this reel never had a problem.

Good reel
I like everything about this reel. I already have an older version and my son just bought one. Reels smoothly. It has a free spool button. Most news reels have eliminated this feature meaning you must flip the bale or adjust the drag to strip line. Very annoying. I expect to get a lot of years out of this.

Great Surf reel
I went smaller after surf casting with a 6500B for many years, mainly because the 8000 OC gives me as much play with braided line. Never doubt Shimano.
