It is more like a 2x2x2 than a 3x3x3, in that two sides will always be adjacent to each other in some way. It is lots of fun to turn, however. Usually with these types of puzzles, people complain about getting pinched, but I have tried to pinch myself and haven't been able to do that. Not much of a puzzle if you could call it that, but then again, I've been completing puzzles for a while now. For the newcomer, this might just be a great introduction to twisty puzzles. 4-star puzzle because it's fun, but not very difficult.______________________Regarding the product:______________________This cube is an excellent quality puzzle. The machinery is flawless, and it is very fun to turn. The cube is, in fact, sticker-less, and has decals instead. It turns so easily, and hasn't locked up even once. If you are a beginner looking to getting a twisty puzzle, or want to expand your cube collection, get this one!

Issues:1. Turning is terrible...seriously. It's BAD.2. Several stickers are severely misaligned3. Wait! Stickers? The description at purchase said "Stickerless"!4. Sticky residue in one area of the puzzle, probably from the stickerless stickers.I buy lots of puzzles, but regret this purchase and for some reason, Amazon says this item is not eligible for return.

This puzzle wasn't designed very well, but that is what I expected since it is a knock-off. The gears lock up constantly, the stickers are slapped on unevenly, and it basically sits on my shelf and gathers dust. I won't give it one star because I still did have a bit of fun solving it, even though in between the fun were large amounts of frustration.

So, I LOVE gear cubes. After buying this one, I'm hooked, it's such a simple solve. But when I bought this cube, it broke within a week and this cube is VERY difficult to put back together. May buy a new gear cube again, would never buy this brand. I was so disappointed when it broke. Now that it's broken once (the purple middle somehow unscrewed and it fell apart un my hand on a turn?), the middles don't always realign properly during the solve so that it becomes unsolvable because of a single twisted edge piece which is impossible! And annoying!

Broke right out of the package - literally fell apart and would not snap back together. Contacted Amazon and received a full refund.

Very easy to solve but otherwise a fun puzzle. Neat to look at and satisfying to turn. Not exactly a challenge but good for impressing the uninitiated and a fine addition to any collection.

My son wanted one for his birthday so i invested in a knock off. Fair price for a knock off. It does have stickers. it does lock up at times. And it is very easy to solve. Its very fun to spin around and the kids really enjoy it. Would i buy it again? Sure for a fair price. Recommend to others? yes, but keep in mind you get what you pay for. I havent tested an official gear cube so i really cant compare it to how that would work but this one seems to be holding up pretty well except for occasional freezing up.

This gear cube wasn't really anything special when I first opened the box. It was really hard to turn, so I got out my screwdriver and loosened it up. After that, it worked great... Just wish it came out of the box like that. Just make sure you don't get your fingers caught in the gears, because it really hurts.
