I purchased these because I was tired of using shorter scissors to cut material. They have weight to them, the blades are long and sharp as well. They cut through double layed thick fleece very easily. Cotton isn't a challenged. Outdoor fabric isn't a challenge either. Cutting with the bottom handle on the work surface helps and they cut smoothly. Snipping points is not an issue either as they are just as effective at the very top of the blades. I'd buy them again for sure when I need to.

I bought these thinking they were long enough to cut across an 8-1/2” wide piece of paper. They are a little short for that. But since they are very heavy and sharp, I kept them and put them in my garage toolbox. I then used them to cut open a package that was wrapped in several layers of plastic and these scissors cut right through like butter! Sharpest scissors I ever had.

These scissors rival many more expensive brands at a very reasonable price. Although the 12" shears are a little heavy to use, they give a very good cut and will easily cut through leather or denim. I will be purchasing a 10" pair along with an 8" pair.

I use these to cut hockey card box bottoms, they make a nice straight, clean cut.
