The APIPOND STRESS COAT Pond Water Conditioner is a 16-ounce solution designed to protect fish by removing harmful chemicals from tap water. Infused with Aloe Vera, it helps restore the fish's protective slime coat, making it ideal for use during water changes, new fish introductions, and recovery from injuries or diseases. Safe for freshwater ponds, it ensures a healthy environment for fish, plants, and surrounding wildlife.

More Concentrated Version of Normal Stress Coat
I have a 55 gallon and usually do 40-60% water changes. My water has chlorine so I use 10 mL which is good for 40 gallons. I have had great experiences with this water conditioner and it "appears" that my fish are gasping for air less with this than Seachem Prime. For reference, I have a HOB filter and two sponge filters so unsure why my fish gasps for air less with this water conditioner but very happy with it.

Works great
I have a 125 gallon pond with 3 medium sized goldfish (4-7") and it loses water due to evaporation in the summer. I use this (1/2 teaspoon added to my 3 gallon pot) as needed to top off my pond level. I've never had an issue and I've used it for 3 years now. The same size is $25 at Petco so it was nice to find it cheaper on here. This bottle lasts me a little over a year because of our weather in Oregon.

Must have for ponds!
This bottle is a must have for our small about 250 gal goldfish pond This size bottle lasts us over a yr normally. Price hasn't changed much over the yrs so that's a plus since everything has sky rocketed in price!

Great for water changes
We use this when we add or make a water exchange in the pond so the fish aren’t affected.

As a proud pond owner, maintaining the well-being of my aquatic friends is of utmost importance. Enter API Pond Stress Coat – a true lifesaver! Not only does it condition the water, but it also ensures the safety of my pets when used as directed. The 473 ml bottle goes a long way, and I've noticed a significant improvement in the overall health of my pond. The stress coat formula seems to work like magic, creating a protective barrier that keeps my fish calm and happy. I'm genuinely grateful for this product – it's made pond care a breeze, and my finned companions couldn't be more content. Excellent ammonia remover.
I have used Stress Coat for years in the aquarium and in that situation it is a reliable performer, although I tend to use Amquel now as it removes more 'bad' things. I digress. I have never used Stress Coat in a pond as for de-chlorination purposes I use a three canister water purifier. However, this summer I had a frightening ammonia and consequent nitrite spike in my pond. Usual water changes, more quick fix bacteria added, but to no avail. I saw that Pond Stress Coat was supposed to remove ammonia. The API web site was suitably vague on the subject, but I thought I had little to lose. Added 1.25 litres of Stress Coat to 5000 gallon pond. I took a water sample 5 minutes later. The ammonia was gone. Strangely enough, so was the nitrite, which I do not understand. I would have thought time would need to pass for bacteria to remove the remaining nitrite, but I'm not complaining.A very good detoxifying additive then. The only downside was the Amazon Prime delivery. Ordered Monday, arrived Thursday, not something fish keepers will appreciate.
