I actually use these as spruce cutters for model making. The blades are really sharp and will flush cut perfectly. This is my second pair, the first pair is semi-retired after many years of service, but after much abuse they are looking a bit gnarly and thought I would treat myself as they are so inexpensive.

I did notice that they struggle with anything thicker than 1mm, so it's best to keep them for lighter tasks. On the plus side, they offer a precise cut and haven't dulled despite frequent use. Just be cautious— one of the blades snapped while cutting a tough wire, so definitely heed the advice about wearing safety goggles. Overall, for such an affordable price, they do the job splendidly and are a solid addition to any toolkit.

I bought this to cut the sprues for my model kits and it’s perfect. These are sharp and really close cutting. So much better than any plier type wire cutters that I’ve used before.
