Great for novice DIYers
Very sensitive, easily detects all cables and pipes in walls. Unit feels quite sturdy and well made, easy to set up and use. The display is nice and clear.Instructions could have been clearer but it’s fairly self explanatory anyway.

pretty good , the menu easy, and material quality , easy to find the metal hidden in the walls , finds and trays that can't be seen hidden in the floor , also the cables of electricity , compact and at a reasonable price.don't take up much room in storage , I work in construction and I can say that this tool is necessary often enough - I recommend

It’s good with walls, not for finding men
When this arrived, my wife got really excited, she tried it on me, but realised it wasn’t working properly!I double checked and found out it’s for use on the wall, finding pipes and stuff, and that, it did really well, it’s got 4 settings, and managed successfully to find the right things on each of them.If you want something that hunts out good looking men, this is wrong for you, if you need to find pipes and cables in stud walls, this is perfect, it works a treat.

Quite handy
I bought this for my father, he's renovating his house. So far he's been using this device to find pipes and cables in the wall and it's been quite helpful. It's easy to use and pretty accurate.

Simple but accurate.
Bought this as I have built some stud walls and needed to be sure of where to put screws for shelves etc. Calibration is needed each time you use it (if you lift it off the wall, just replace and recalibrate before trying again) Found all my studs without issue and I now have solid shelves at various levels. I would recommend this product.

Doesn't detect live cables.
After reading great reviews about this detector on Amazon I thought this would be the detector to buy ,how wrong I was.Purchased to detect live wires in a plastered brick wall .The detector was as good as a chocolate teapot at detecting live cables, no accuracy what so ever.Returned for a refund and purchased a Bosch Truvo cable detector which is brilliant for detecting live ac cables accurately and more importantly safely.

Easy to use stub finder
Bought this for detecting wires and pipes before drilling holes for picture frame. The detector is lightweight and small, which makes fits in tool belt easily. The body is hard plastic. I wish the detection depth is greater as it doesn't work well for detecting underfloor pipes.
