LET-60-LW Electrical Transformer, 12V 60W MR16 Electronic Low Wattage

Great little transformer, but don’t make the same mistake that I made.I sent three of these back thinking they weren’t working after putting a voltmeter on the output and reading only 1 V. It turns out you have to put a load on the output to get 12 V.I use these little transformers for LED path lights and they work great. The transformers are in an electrical box in the basement connected to a 110 V switch on the first floor. The low-voltage side of the transformer runs out of the basement to the path lights.

I have three pendant lights for 15 years with halogen bulbs. Decided to replace with LED. Two of the three transformers blew up (they were electronic). Investigated what transformer would work and found these. Ironically I am using the same brand (different model) for my undercabinet lights for the same 15 years on another INSTEON dimmer. Tested THAT transformer (which is also electronic) with a LED bulb and it worked fine, dimmed fine and didn't flicker. I found these that were rated for a 2.5w load (my bulbs were 5 watt). I removed all old transformers from the pendants and installed one of these and tested everything successfully. Replaced the other two and everything is great. Smooth dimming from the INSTEON dimmer and no flicker!

Replaced a blown transformer in a pendent light (The transformer 'popped' and died after I replaced a 50W halogen bulb with a 10W LED) The Lightech transformer was smaller than the one it replaced so it fit into the fixture without a problem. But it was less expensive by half at Home Depot.

This thing is small, simple, and it works well on a standard Lutron Dimmer (I had bought the one for LED-sized lower loads but it turns out not to be necessary in my case). I used it to replace a lousy switched 12V transformer for 50W Halogen canister lighting that I converted to LED (Phillips 35W equivalent 12V bipin MR16 same form factor). What a GREAT deal - much lower power, much nicer light, dimmable, and uses same fixtures/recessed lighting already in place. Plus that I won't have to replace the darn Halogen heat generators every 6 months like I have been. Major upgrade.

I installed in the bathroom without a dimmer. Installation took about 3 minutes to solder up to a broken light fixture and it worked great. Very happy to not have to replace a expensive fixture!

The product worked as described and did not cause the led bulbs to flicker like a normal halogen transformer. Transformer is covered in silicone so it does not cause a buzzing sound like other brands.

Installed this transformer to replace another one.when I measured the output it was 1.7 volts not even close to 12. Used two different meters.returned for a replacement as others have not reported this issue.Received the replacement, this one only produced 2.25V so it was also returned

Work fine for just over a year. Would prefer to pay a bit more and get something well made. Frustrating.
