Q: what are the 3 modes. does the back light blink at all?

The headlight will: Stay on continuously, flash like a strobe light, or "flutter" on and off (blink 3-4 times - more rapidly than the 2nd setting, stay off, blink 3-4 times, stay off).The back light will: Stay on continuously, flash like a strobe light, or flash each of its 3 LEDs one at a time (slower than the 2nd setting).Personally, I use the headlight in the ON setting to see where I'm going at night, in the strobe setting when the sun is coming up and I can see, but still dark to where I want to make sure cars can see me, and the "flutter" setting when I'm pretty sure I'm visible, but want to be sure without annoyingly blinding people (yes, it is bright enough to where I worry about that sometimes).As for the tail light, it's bright enough to where I know people can see it. However, I only use the strobe setting. I don't trust the constant ON setting (for any tail light), and the 3rd setting (whee it flashes one LED at a time) seems pointless and may be hard to see.Hope this helps!
