I have three yoga mats: a Manduka Pro, which is my absolute favourite (it's flawless), a Gaiam travel mat, and this one. As a travel mat, this "Relief Yoga Mat" is clearly the one to choose; it can be folded without damaging it, once folded it's not huge (although not as tiny as the Gaiam), it's much much much lighter than the Manduka...and when using it, it's comfortable!!: the cushioning is great and at the same time the mat doesn't stretch or slip (as it often happens with other mats, in deep warrior twos, etc), and the grip is surprisingly good...The only thing that could be improved, in my opinion: maybe it's a bit too soft...: when my hands are flat on the mat and I put weight on them, the palm near the wrist sinks into the mat a bit (and this doesn't happen at all with the Manduka); you can't even see it, but after a few minutes, I do feel the strain on the wrist. However, I am very happy to have this mat and I won't be using the Gaiam (or any other mat) again! I would definitely buy the "Relief Yoga Mat" again, and recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to pay the 85 gbp the Manduka costs. Also much better than the Mad Tree Mat...

I’ve been using this mat for about a month & it is wonderful.Why? Firstly, it is very well designed. The fold up design means immediately lies flat & is also much quicker to put away.It comes in a cotton drawstring sack that looks great, is made to last & easy to carry.The material the mat is made of is unlike any yoga mat I have used in the past & thicker.It has a memory foam type feel which acts to cushion pressure points & feels safe / non slip, & warm.It really is a pleasure to use & feel underneath you. It even smells really good.I’m 6”6” & it is a great size for me. My feet hang over the edge but I like that.Very pleased with its performance so far & the company seems very interested in your experience of using the mat.I would also be confident in contacting them for help & support with any warranty issues, should it be necessary.This is a really easy product to recommend.You can spend a fortune on yoga mats but I really don’t think you will find a better mat than this.And if for any reason you don’t feel the same as me, the company offers a 45 day money back guarantee.Totally recommended.

I hardly leave reviews on Amazon, but I feel I ought to share, for people who may be trying to make up their minds about this mat.It arrived promptly (in the evening of the day after I placed the order). I was too tired to do anything with it so left it till the following morning. When I woke up, I read the instructions about washing before use (VERY IMPORTANT), washed it with a soapy wet cloth, and let it dry all day on my clothes rack. I then left for the day. Got back in the evening, and put it aside for first use the following morning.I was literarily BLOWN AWAY when I used it the first morning (I am writing this in the evening). It is fantastic, and easily the best yoga mat I've everused.PROS- Sticks to the floor during practice. It didn't move at all: In all fairness this morning's workout was a Pilates workout, so it remains to be seen if it will be as sticky when doing yoga- Extremely comfortable: I was worried the folding lines would get in the way. They don’t. This mat was heaven for doing rolling like a ball (a Pilates move)- Easy to put away: You can fold it, or roll it like a regular yoga mat- Folding lines makes it easy to hang on a door to dry: I don't have much space, so after working out I place my mats on a door frame to dry. My regular mats don't sit well on the door, but this does, because of the folding linesCONS- A bit heavy, but that's expected given the thicknessFantastic mat. Thumbs up!

A fantastic mat. It is very thick for a yoga mat, so if you want to know which is your heavier side just stand on it and you will get a superb set of foot prints which clearly shows your heavier side. It does come back into shape really easily. I find it much easier to carry around than a rolled up mat and there is room for a small cushion or towel inside the carry bag as well. The other thing which I love is that it sticks to a hard floor so it doesn'troll up slide or travel anywhere. I really do rate this mat very highly.

This mat is so lovely and soft. However it's claim of being non slip isn't necessarily true of the one I received. It's great in your clothed limbs and you probably wouldn't slip and it certainly doesn't slip on the floor either. However when I came to do yoga poses such as downward dog or plank etc that require palms on the mat my hands were slipping badly and sank down through the memory foam feature and didn't end up having much support which isn't very good for my wrists personally so I will be taking advantage of the no quibble 45 day returns policy and will look for another mat that is a bit grippier.

This is an excellent yoga mat. I will give away my previous thinner mats as this one is really superior in texture, thickness, and firmness and the extra length was for me an extra motivating factor to buy it. I am glad I was encouraged to buy it thanks to one of the positive comments on the website as I believe it is really worth the extra money you pay for this quality. The lines and divisions on the mat are no problem at all and it is interesting to fold up your yoga mat instead of rolling it up at the end of your session. I have muscular and joint pain and the thicker quality of the yoga mat helps me with pain relief and motivates me to practice. I have also found that spraying some essential oils on my mat helps me to breathe in more consciously and with greater awareness which benefits my yoga practice. The mat needs to be wiped down with a vinegar/water or wash powder based solution on the top side before its first use to get rid of a protective layer. I also like the fact that I now always use the same side of the mat to practice on whereas with a traditional rolling mat I sometimes didn't know which one was top and which the bottom side ending up with a lot of fluff and dust on my clothes! overall a very good mat !
