Best silicone sealant for many things
Possibly the best adhesive/sealant I have ever used. Sure there are quicker and supposedly stronger stuff out there, but man this silicone construction stuff really bonds to almost anything even if the surface isn't clean. The curing process takes 8 hours to a day in my experience. And it holds really well, except for extremely heavy-weighted objects. Used this to re-seal aquarium seals, glue aquarium decor, fix broken closet shelves, patch up cracked wood boards on wall edges, glue fabrics together (e.g. fancy lamp tops), seal broken electrical cables. One thing it doesn't like is water. Surface area cannot be wet or moist at all ! Unless you add a lot, and move it around so the outside silicone layer takes in the water while the inside re-bonds to the surface when squished, etc.

great for aquarium assembly.
if you are going to make a custom glass aquarium, use this to glue it together, then use a softer product to seal it. I would not use anything else to glue the pieces together. It's fine to use it as a sealant but this stuff is a bit thick. Recommended.

sticky stuff.
I build aquariums, tried this silicone for a change up. This silicone is a very strong adhesive, but it is more difficult to use than others I have worked with. Cures very fast, not much working time. But that could be a good thing for other applications.

Solid product
The silicone worked.I also got a cheaper GE brand of Silicone I and the only difference that I could tell was the ease with which the silicone is administered. GE 1200 takes a bit of muscle to crank out, but you do get quite a bit and for the purpose of using it in my vivariums, it was perfect.

Top Aquarium building Silicones
After reviewing a few aquarium building forum's, of this silicon adhesive being the best for this job, I was convinced and decided to order a tube of this GE SC1200 Silicone, and having had pulled apart my 55 gallon glass tank, I reassembled it, using it as the "adhesive silicon" for joining or gluing the glass panes together first. Afterward it cured I sealed tank using GE 100% Clear Silicon 1, which is water proof, does Not contain any anti-fungal agents and both are aquarium safe. Great products and I highly recommend.

Aquarium safe and extremely strong!
Great stuff! Super strong!!! I don’t care what anyone says, it is aquarium safe. Top glass tank builders and myself have been using it for decades on glass aquariums without a single issue. If you are building a large aquarium 100 gallons or more, this is the stuff you want!

Excellent for glass-on-iron
I used this to attach a glass electrical insulator onto an iron brake disc - both part of a found-object sculpture.Worked solidly. Then I also attached fire-glass nuggets to iron rods (same sculpture) - also worked well and showed a clean finish. The applicator gets clogged and needs some encouragement for re-use but that's probably the same for all silicone tubes

Interesting...
This is worth reading to understand how Peter Drucker's thoughts developed early in his career. The review by George Overton, written in 1947, before Drucker became an icon is spot on:"Here is the anatomy of an institution laid out in 290 pages of erratic text, un-pleasant style, and often unfathomable prose. But with patience in reading, one learns that a social scientist has analyzed a dominant institution of our time in terms of its relations to human beings instead of its relation to other institutions."
