The tool provided to open the case was not sufficient so I used a small wood chisel. I installed and it was fine for a couple of weeks with very light use. The other day everything was loading really slow and then I noticed the case was really HOT. I turned off the device and now I have get the battery out to dispose of it. I threw away the tools that came with it because I thought everything was fine so now I can't return it. I don't think it would be safe in the mail anyway.

The replacement went OK but the tools supplied to pry the back cover off were very flimsyTwo of them broke. I ended up using a half inch chisel to get it off. this left some rough edges on the edge of the back but these were covered up by the Tab 2 bumper.A word of caution. Keep track of the tiny screws (6).

Can’t keep the battery charge

Great battery! Put new life in an old tablet. Perfect fit as well.

Battery died after only a short time in the unit.

Didn’t work on my tablet not sure if it just didn’t work or wasn’t compatible. Returned
