Klipsch RP-500C Center Channel Speaker (Ebony), 1065819

I’ve been a Klipsch owner for over a decade now. In that time I’ve had 3 different surround speaker lines, 2 subwoofers and the Pro Media computer speakers. I’ve heard many others but I just love the Klipsch sound. My most recent upgrade was from the Icon line (the Refrence line predecessor) to the Refrence Premier line. Last year I replaced my front channels (KB-15) with the RP-160m’s and they’re absolutely fantastic. It was a massive upgrade. The downside is that they exposed my KC-25 center channel for the midrange speaker it is. It’s not bad at all, it just couldn’t keep up with my new RP speakers. The center began to sound dim and subdued in comparison. The center should be leading but was instead being upstaged on either side. A stronger center was in order. As I began to search for a new center, I knew I was going to stay with Klipsch. The only question was which one would it be. Available space and price narrowed it down to the RP-500 and RP-600. The 500 was over $100 less and well reviewed so that was the choice for me.After I received the speaker (bought from 3rd party seller IQ Home Entertainment) I wasted no time connecting it and trying a number of different movies and music. I instantly heard the difference between this speaker and my last. It’s as if someone were standing in front of the speaker before and now they moved out of the way. Voices are so much louder and clearer now. I can hear a lot more depth and breath in the voices now. Low and gravely voices are so much deeper and thicker than they were before. This is no doubt due to the much greater frequency range in the RP-500c. It’s able to go much lower and higher than my previous speaker. I’d have been disappointed had it only been a small difference but fortunately the price I paid has shown to be absolutely worth it. Everything just sounds so good now that I can’t imagine feeling the want or need for more. I was also pleased to see the build quality was on par with my new bookshelf speakers. Same color, same smooth feel and very attractive copper woofers. The only difference being the extra copper rings surrounding the woofer and the tweeter. The Reference Premier line is a huge step up from my Icons I’ve replaced. The extra cost is seen and heard through and through. Absolutely a premium look and feel.To me, Klipsch means clear and clean audio that just makes you smile and feel good when you listen to your favorite music and movies. Hearing things as they were intended to sound. High end quality at an affordable price. The most important feature being fun. You’ll want to hear everything again while enjoying every minute of it. That’s what I want and expect from good quality speakers and Klipsch never disappoints me. Highly recommended.

Like so many others, I bought the RP-500C to replace an R-25C I bought because it was the "right" center speaker to match my R-625FA mains, but the R-25C is a piece of garbage. No amount of tweaking could make it sound anything but boxy, muddled, and harsh. Frankly, Klipsch should be ashamed.The RP-500C, on the other hand, is worth every penny. It's crisp, clear, and powerful. It handles dialogue, music, and sound effects effortlessly.Audiophiles will tell you that the RP-500C is not timbre matched to my mains, which is absolutely true. Does it make me want to upgrade my mains? Yes. But, since I use my system almost exclusively for movies, I'd much rather have my center outshine my mains than the other way around.So, if you're on the fence and considering the R-25C (or the newer R-52C) to save yourself a little money, don't. You'll regret it. Get the RP-500C. You won't be disappointed.Buy. It. Now.

Great addition to my front stage the sound blends in seamlessly with the matching rp-5000f's. This rp-500center channel speaker brings out little subtle sounds true to the source that were absent before but the most noticable was the deepness in the voices. The little subtleties and dept to the dialogue and sounds coming from the rp-500c helped with the imaging which practically made the left and right channel disappear or become one seamless sound stage. I waited a bit for a great deal and as soon as the price was right for my budget I went for it and my front stage is noticeably better. It's a great buy if your looking to upgrade your center channel but it's best served matching it with the matching left and right channel from the rp-4000f, rp-5000f or even the rp-6000f but if you get the rp-6000f or the top end rp-8000f I would go with the rp-504c.

I didn't think replacing my old center speaker would make that much of a difference. I was mostly just looking for louder voices in movies, but this thing did way more than just that. It made all sounds feel so much fuller and clear. I actually had to turn the center level down because it was overpowering my left and right floor speakers. It's still pretty expensive, but I kind of think it's worth the price.

This is a fantastic front speaker. I have it paired with the synergy series F30 fronts and synergy S-10 rears along with an R-115 and an older 12 inch sub from klipsch. I had an old synergy C-20 and I was constantly adjusting the center channel to hear dialogue and that was before I added the new 15 to the home theater. Not any more! I can crank up the volume to where the subs are pounding bass and I have no issue hearing dialogue. I'm sure the RP-540 is an awesome speaker but with an 85 inch TV sitting on a tv stand thats loaded with consoles and a large receiver I couldn't fit the 540.For all the audiophiles, I honestly can't tell a difference in timbre between my synergy fronts and the center. I can tell a hell of a lot of difference from this center to my old synergy center. I plan on upgrading everything to the RP series eventually, but none of our local stores carry the RP-280 or the new 8000 in stock and I'd like to hear the difference before I go dump another 2 or 3k into the system.I gave 4 stars for the "material quality" only because Klipsch makes beautiful sounding, ugly speakers.

I bought the center speaker to replace my 10-year-old JBL speaker and got it for a great price when it went on sale.I’ve never heard the voices so clearly!! It’s got great mids and punches when watching movies. I have a R-52C in another room and this one sounds much better. I love Klipsch.

This speaker is OUTSTANDING, from my taste.A little expensive, though ...And even more, it's small enough to fit in my tv cabinetI matched it with "only" Klisch R-51m (not premium) and it fanstastic !Don't hesitate to spend a bit more to get full quality !

Lautsprecher kamen pünktlich und gut verpackt bei mir an gleich ausgepackt und was musste ich da sehen da waren auf jeden der beiden Lautsprecher ich hatte 2 bestellt da ich sie als Front Lautsprecher nutzen möchte 2x auf der Unterseite Dämpfer aus hellen Kork angeklebt die ich nicht ganz rückstandslos abmachen konnte nur mit großem Zeitaufwand. Solche Dämpfer waren auf die vorherigen Boxen nicht aufgeklebt. Es wäre schön gewesen wenn die Dämpfer nebenbei in der Verpackung gelegen hätten dann kann sich jeder der die Dämpfer benötigt aufkleben. Ansonsten sind es sehr gute Boxen kann sie nur empfehlen wenn er sie als Center Lautsprecher nutzen möchte.

Klipsch have done a great job with their reference premier range and this centre speaker will not disappoint.

This thing is amazing. Its so clear and it really brings the voices to life! Highly recommend it.

Exceptionnel comme produit. Joli et performant speakers de centre. Le son est très clair. Mis en ensemble avec klipsch r-41sa et klipsch r 100sw c'est une autre dimension d'écoute de musique classique et visionner des films 4k avec des pistes Dolby Almos.Je le recommande fortement.
