Avalon Organics Hand & Body Lotion, Revitalizing Peppermint, 12 Oz

I love this lotion. The consistency is a little bit watery and my skin soaks it right up, but it leaves such a pleasant tingly and cooling effect. I LOVE the way it smells, very pepperminty, I just wish the scent lasted a little bit longer. I apply this before going to work, and I feel like over my 30 minute commute I already can't smell it on my hands anymore. Overall, I love putting this on before bed because the cooling effect helps me fall asleep. I also love that the smell is straight PEPPERMINT and not a sweet mint or tea tree mix. This is a very nice christmas kind of peppermint. I will definitely be ordering more when I run out!

my son had this lotion placed in his kitchen sink and we really liked the scent and the feeling of the lotion, actually I think it’s moisturizing your hands after wash. Great for the price and recommendable. Try this and you’ll like it for its price it’s really good.

I’ve been on a quest to find a thick, healing lotion that has a fresh minty scent. I haven’t found it yet. That being said, I thought I would provide a list of some of the products I have tested. Since not everyone is looking for the same thing, I figured that this would be helpful. I put them in the order of those that met my criteria (best on top), but frankly, none were healing – you put them on and they are gone. None really had that true peppermint scent that I wanted. So I will continue my quest.1. Deep Steep Foot Care Cream, Candy Mint – medium thickness and pepperminty (sort of like candy – not fresh mint)2. Bath & Body Works Twisted Peppermint Body Lotion 2014 – fairly runny, but has a nice peppermint smell (but not very strong)3. Peppermint & Eucalyptus Foot Cream With Menthol Too, By Diva Stuff – feels pretty light (whipped cream) and pepperminty (but has a hint of eucalyptus/menthol) – does have a bit of a cooling effect.4. Tree Hut Soothing Foot Cream, Aloe and Peppermint – medium thickness and not very pepperminty (but advertised as aloe and peppermint)5. Earth Therapeutics Intensive Heel Repair – medium thickness and not very pepperminty (but advertised as tea tree oil and peppermint) - doesn’t actually seem to work as “heel repair”6. Avalon Organics Peppermint Hand & Body Lotion – returned – advertised as peppermint, but not so much – no problems with the return, so no bad review left.7. J. R. Watkins Foot Lotion Rejuvenating Peppermint – returned – advertised as peppermint, but not so much – no problems with the return, so no bad review left.

Love this lotion! I wanted to find a lotion with a nice smell that I can use at work. It’s not too strong, and a nice, pleasant fragrance that’s perfect for an office setting. Quality product- not greasy or watered down. I have sensitive skin and find that it moisturizes well!

I have very dry skin and I have tried so many lotions and I love Avalon organics peppermint lotion. For an extra cooling factor I add several drops of pure peppermint oil. It absorbs nicely and a minimum of ingredients. Great quality.

Lotion product itself is OK. the "GRIPPER" sticker on it is not OK. When will I learn that every time I order a lotion/cleanser/soap, etc. from Amazon it comes with a GRIPPER to secure the lid?! The GRIPPER could also be MUCH smaller, not 2 long strips that go the majority of the way down the lotion bottle. Cannot leave out for people to use for fear their hands would stick to the bottle if they pick it up. Will get an alcohol pad out again and try to clean the sticker residue off the lotion bottle. I know in the realm of all things wrong in the World this is minor, but... want Amazon to know the secure sticker is a pain for the buyer. Thanks!

I like to keep a pump bottle of lotion next to my kitchen sink. My favorite hand lotion isn't available any more in this format,, so I have been trying alternatives. This is my third try. This one is lightly scented and it doesn't bother my allergies. It does solve the dryness in the kitchen, but when I first apply it, my hands feel a bit sticky. This goes away, but is not as 'invisible' as the cream I keep in my hand bag or by my bed.So to keep score, cream #1 (expensive) was returned because the scent drove me crazy in a bad way. cream #2 (Mrs. Meyers) was really cheap on sale and worked well enough. Lovely peppermint like this one and mildly moisturizing. Would be good enough but I was looking for more moisture. #3 - this one - feels more moisturizing but with the sticky coating for the first few minutes. Let's see what I find for #4.

Update: Yesterday I received my newest purchase of the peppermint lotion. The lid was double taped with a product called "The Gripper". Although I appreciate the effort to prevent spillage of the lotion en route, the tape was terribly difficult to remove and much of the sticky layer remained on the bottle. However, my biggest disappointment is in the bottle itself. It no longer has a pump for dispensing the lotion. This means at a certain level, it will have to be stored upside down or the lotion will take FOREVER to slide down to the lid. Really don't like this.Otiginal post: I Love Avalon products. I have used them for about twenty years. As I am very sensitive to chemically reproduced scents, I am so thankful for these products. They do a great job. My skin doesn't itch and my feet stay soft even through dry winter days. I get compliments on my complexion a lot. I credit this lotion. I love the natural herbal scents. I use the peppermint and rosemary scents.
