proto J7121 Impact Socket Adapter, 7/16In x 1/2In

I bought this 7/16” hex to 1/2” square adapter after breaking 3 of the Klein versions ($50 a pop). I’ve had this one a month now and had no issues. It’s hooked to an impact that has 1300 ft/lbs of break away and I’ve had it struggling so it’s definitely strong and the price is unbeatable. I’m even buying a bunch for the guys I work with who are tired of fighting with Klein tools for replacements.

I’ve only used it for bolting cable tray splice plates together. It made it through the entire project without breaking. Not sure how it would hold up on something like changing tires but it worked for what I needed it for.

Works well, holds up to high torque but the detent in this thing is loose in its bore and long to the point where most sockets won't snap on without using a tool to depress the detent, and if your socket has a through-hole you have to use a punch to release the socket. Giant PITA unless you intend to leave one socket on the adapter indefinitely. You'll never lose it, for sure.

Well made impact quality adapter!

This is a less expensive alternative to Milwaukee's 7/16" impact socket adapter, and I found it to work just fine with a Milwaukee impact wrench.
