🔇 Silence the noise, amplify your focus.
The HiFimeDIY USB Isolator ISO-2 offers reliable USB full-speed (12 Mbps) isolation designed specifically for low-power audio devices supporting up to 2 channels at 96kHz/24bit. It effectively reduces ground loop noise but does not support USB high-speed (480 Mbps) or power-hungry devices requiring over 200mA. Ideal for professionals seeking cleaner audio signals in compact, plug-and-play form.

Awesome for noisy DAC
Bought this to go along with my HiFiMeDIY Sabre USB DAC. The DAC gives me a high pitched squeal and some clicking sounds when I'm gaming and my GPU is running hard. I've tried isolating the power supply alone by splicing external 5V power into it. Solved some of the noise, but did not get rid of it entirely due to the ground connection. I finally decided to try this isolator to completely isolate it and it works amazingly well. Complete silence, all of the noise is gone, even with the DAC powered off of the USB bus (and on a 4 foot USB extension at that). My speakers are Monoprice 5" studio monitors along with a Monoprice 12" sub. These monitors are quite sensitive to noise on the line considering my headphones (ATH-M50x) did not exhibit noise even without the isolator or external power supply. I'm running the DAC in 96KHz/24-bit mode just fine.

Oh my I should have picked something better.
I was torn over the high price of USB isolators. So I chose this one, which cost less then half of what's out there. I needed an isolator for interfacing with a microcontroller programmer/emulator that I use to develop embedded code on prototype hardware so I don't accidentally blast my computer (excessive voltage or EMI). Unfortunately, just like the previous reviews, the device cannot be recognized. I've tried a USB mouse and not even it can be recognized. The only thing that works are USB memory sticks! There are two issues. 1) The internal isolated power supply is very weak, so it won;t work with things requiring moderate power from the USB like mice. 2) There are data rate limitations, and the isolator IC inside seems to be configured for the lower of two speed options. Very disatisfying, I recommend shelling out several hundred dollars for a real isolator.

Works as intended, shipped fast.
Not sure why these things are so expensive, for what they are, but this works great. I need this for programming Fire Supression panels, and I've used it, works fine. It was shipped fast, arrived fast, and exactly as shown in the description. Like I said, I wasn't crazy about the price, but I've used this exact brand in the past and they always work for me, so I got a another one here. I recommend this product, and this seller.

I feel like this should be stated really large and explicitly on ...
DONT BUY IF YOU HAVE GROUND LOOP ISSUES WITH FOCUSRITE/SCARLET I bought this because I thought it would help with the ground loop issue I have between my 2016 Razer blade (gtx 970) -> Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 -> Rokit 5's but then it didn't work and after going on their site and reading through the FAQ i found out the Scarlet is one of the only interface cards that doesn't work with it. I feel like this should be stated really large and explicitly on Amazon since the 2i2 is one of the most popular interfaces out there. The Razer Blade is an awesome laptop but unfortunately it has this terrible ground loop issue when plugged in and will drive you mad after a while. I literally cant make a track without hearing buzzing from my right speaker unless I unplug the power. Hoping these guys will let me send it back for a refund. TLDR: DON'T buy if you're using a Focusrite Scarlet Audio Interface

This USB Isolator is awesome!
This thing is exactly what I have been looking for. I could not find anyone else that made one of these for this price. I was trying to to use an A2DP device in my vehicle for media streaming. The USB/12V power in vehicle was very noisy and without this device it was completely impossible to enjoy the sound with all the pops/hisses and alternator whine. I was very skeptical that the USB Isolator would be able to help with all the noise, to my surprise it removed 100% of the ground loop sounds from my audio stream. This saved me so much money by not having to take it to a specialist to have the ground loop troubleshooted and repaired and/or purchasing a new car deck that had A2DP built-in AMAZING! AMAZING! AMAZING! !

Highly highly recommend if you are struggling with USB noise
I had issues with my Aune T1 USB DAC and Beyerdynamic A20 amp picking up static from my PC. I assume it was a ground loop issue, but after spending a while trying to eliminate the issue, I decided to purchase this and see if it just fixes the problem. Lo and behold, it has completely fixed the problem. The only issue I found was that my DAC randomly shut off with this attached. I figured out that the default Windows power setting will disable USB devices if there is no power being drawn, and after disabling that setting I haven't had another problem. Highly highly recommend if you are struggling with USB noise.

DOES NOT WORK FOR BLUE YETI MICROPHONE
I was told this would work for the blue yeti. I plugged it in, guess what? I didn't work, after trying several usb ports and type cables. This product is a disappointment, I still hear the buzz sound coming from the ground loop. What you're seeing in the screenshots, is sound coming from my mic, just from the ground loop buzz sound alone

Don't waste your money or time
useless... Tried to return it for a refund. but no response. Sure, it may (or may not) isolate the ground. But nothing plugged in to it will be recognized on your Mac/PC Don't waste your money or time on this useless device...
