Didn't take long to become enamored with this Mr Coffee espresso machine. Love it...
Some context. Started with and cut my teeth on a Gaggia Classic years ago. Still have it. Did various stovetop espresso thingies too, my missus did a variety of pour overs other thingies, and 2 years ago sprang for a Gaggia Brera. So, ok. Definitely learned all along the way. Had hoped the Gaggia Brera would be a nice semi auto experience. It kind of was, until it wasn’t. It just dwindled into unusable pretty quickly. We both found ourselves becoming disinterested in the espresso experience. Wasn’t keen on going to another machine, preferring a hand press espresso, but thought why not give another espresso maker a go, mainly for my missus. Enter Mr Coffee. From the start, it has been GREAT. It took one test drive double shot to then redial to a successful grind. And have to say, I am impressed. Of all my experiences with various machines, Mr Coffee produces the most crema hands down. Began with some older beans just to get started and by crackie, Mr Coffee extracted some very nice flavor and crema from the very first. Quite surprised. But then I wasn’t when I found how easy it is to navigate the various functions. And when I made my sweetie’s first coffee drink, I didn’t ask but she remarked, “this machine definitely extracts more flavor than any other machine we’ve had.” And she’s right. As said, easy and intuitive to navigate. The setup is intuitive. Even the power switch on the side, thank you Mr Coffee. Every other machine we’ve had the switch has been inconveniently in back. The milk and water reservoirs works well too. Nicely placed. Every function, from shots to cappuccinos to lattes that we dialed up came out like really nice, balanced, and at the core of it is… I am really impressed with the shots that we are producing. No machine, including the various Gaggias I have had in the past, did what this little guy is doing. Hands down this is outproducing, outperforming, anything we’ve had in the past 2 decades. To cut to the chase, I love the shots we are pulling. Across several beans now. So happy because we're into a whole new experience. Reinvigorated. It inspires me to get cracking on roasting several bean types now. Had become quite proficient on roasting and I have no doubt this Mr Coffee is going to elevate the experience. All the other machines and devices we’ve had.. home roasting definitely elevated the experience. But we never felt we were attaining the full experience. But there is no question from what I have seen so far, Mr Coffee is going to do a better job than anything else we’ve had. Am looking very much forward to new roasts now. So yeah… am now a fan boy of Mr Coffee. But for good reason. As said, was able to dial in a grind very quickly and from the start, the pulls have been pleasing, producing more full body experience than anything before, and this includes appearance. Beautiful depth-y crema.. surpasses anything we’ve had before. Oh, may as well add... I read many reviews and am always amused when some are stark smack downs on this and that machine out performs, out produces, that and this other machine. Having worked with some wonderful high end and highly touted machines... I find little difference in the espressos thus far and in many cases, Mr Coffee is simply doing a better job at just a straight up single or double espresso. A+++ to Mr Coffee. I was very surprised until I am not any more. Love the machine and experience. X'd finger that the build is substantial enough to last awhile. That would be the berries if yes.. we get some mileage from it.

Simple to use and the best espresso of any machine
I've used Mr. Coffee espresso machines for years now. This one is, by far, the very best! It's worth the price! Every day, I'm just loving to use it. It's quiet. There's no drip or messes! Totally wonderful. And, of course, the espresso is the best of ANY machine I've ever used thru the years...and I've used many...even a $600 one! I've always come back to Mr. Coffee.

Poor Quality
Purchase this espresso machine in July of 2022. I was totally in love with it till one day it wouldn't brew the coffee and all of the lights on the front of the machine started blinking. The machine got extremely hot and wouldn't shut down. I had to unplug it and let it cool down. After the cool down it did it again. I contacted Mr Coffee by telephone. Told them what happened and the girl told me I was under warrantee and they did not want the machine back. She told me she was sending me a new machine and it would arrive in about 6 days. Then I received an email saying they wanted it back and were issuing me a return label which never came. Still waiting for my machine that I was told was coming , I received another email saying I needed to return it before I can have a new one sent. Ok, this is all fine except I have to be without a coffee machine till they receive the defective one and they would send it 2 day delivery so I didn't have to wait. The mail in Ca in my rural area never makes it in two days. Anyway, ther were so many names and directions for this warranteed product that I just gave up. I am going to purchase a new espresso machine however it will not be Mr Coffee simply because of their incompetence in their warrantee deparment. It's a sad day we live in when no one is trusted anymore and the help is not geard towards the customer. I will say it made great coffee, but it over heats and that would be a fire hazzard so I am using it but, I un plug it after every use as not to burn my house down. MrCoffee didn't care about that. Best of luck and just to note, It was cleaned regularly so that was not an issue.

It does make a good cup of coffee.
I read reviews and actually had a cup from my son and daughter's house so I knew a little about what I was getting. It's not a Keurig, so get that out of your head. It's about a 5-minute process to get a good cup of coffee, at least for me. I tried the default settings, but never really like the end result of the simple push one button solutions. 1. It is well made, plastic, with the expresso holder metal. It is messy to rid the grounds and prep for the next cup. (This is important as you will see). Holds enough water for several cups, milk, not so much if you use the default settings on Cappucino and lattes, but I don't. 2. As I am used to a full cup of Joe with our Keurig, I was somewhat disappointed with the quantity of coffee on a "double" expresso, but it is an espresso machine. Get used to it you will have to experiment to find your perfect cup. 3. Tried both the latte and cappuccino, running the automated buttons, then changing the espresso cup, and running a double espresso to get a decent coffee /milk combo, but it always wound up with too much milk for my tastes. 4. The final solution for me is to make 2 servings of double espresso, then add the milk with the manual button. Works pretty good, except for the clean and replace of the espresso cups in the process. Fortunately we have a wet bar in the kitchen with an adjacent sink to this machine. The Keurig got a transfer to the other side of the kitchen. 5. The espresso coffee maker side is relatively quiet, the milk sounds like it spraying hot milk for days, but its really not. At first we thought it would splash coffee out with the frother, but the sound is all talk and no action. Milk just runs into the cup without a big commotion, other than steam with the sound invoking pictures of clean up nightmares that really doesn't happen. 6. There is a shelf the cup sits on with a Stainless steel cover. You need to pick that up fairly frequently and empty it. Somewhere in all the commotion coffee/water builds up and it can be in the 6 to 8 oz quantity down in there (yukky). 7. Milk is not a stable commodity out of refrigeration, and while you can keep the container full, I would not do that. I initially did that, faithfully removing the container and putting it in the refrigerator (not don't put in in the door - it's a bit top heavy and it came crashing out on my wife one morning - fortunately nothing broke, but milk was not a fun thing to clean up). After a few days though of using the container, faithfully keeping enough in the container to be sure it worked, I cleaned it and noticed the beginnings of what appeared to be buttermilk starting up. Since then I only put about an inch or inch and a half in the milk container for the coffee for the morning and clean it every other day. 8. Lazzaro Coffee is great in it in the espresso grind. Very smooth. 9. Glad I purchased and dinked through the learning curve. It is worth the effort. I would buy it again.

LOVE this machine
This is the second espresso/frothing machine I’ve owned. The other one was a fairly high end unit that I’ve not used for many, many years. It made great drinks IF you adjusted all the settings just right and held the frothing pitcher just so. Cleaning it was a chore unto itself. Normally I’m pretty savvy with technology and gadgets, but making a great latte or cappuccino was real hit or miss for me. It also just took up a huge amount of real estate on my countertop. Fast forward to my last few weeks with the Mr. Coffee machine....I LOVE this machine. The design is pretty slim. It takes up no more room than my regular coffee maker. It’s super easy to load the water and milk for drinks. It’s very easy to program, with 2 settings apiece for espresso, lattes, & cappuccinos. It also has manual settings for espresso and frothed milk. This makes creating your drink to taste so simple. - Choose a preprogrammed setting, manual setting, or a combination of the two. And to top it all off, the machine is SO easy to clean. There is even a cleaning setting for the frother. - Seriuosly smart design because cleaning steamed milk out of and off of a metal tube is no joke. Normally, I let my freshly prepared drink cool down a bit while I quickly clean up the entire machine. There are also some other great design features that make the unit easy to clean. - The water and milk tanks slide off, the drip tray slides off and can be taken apart. The filters are also easy to clean. The brew head is the most difficult bit to clean, because it doesn’t detach in any way, but a couple swipes inside with a white cloth will easily tell you if there is any residual coffee left behind. The porta-filter & both (single & double) filters are of good, sturdy quality. Everything on the unit is of good quality. There is a fair amount of plastic, but it’s all sturdy. There is also a good bit of helpful information in the instruction manual about settting up the machine for the first time, using all the features, and even how to grind your espresso beans. (If you don’t already have a coffee grinder, you may want to purchase one, as fresh ground espresso beans give the best and strongest flavor.)

Great coffee maker
Great coffee and espresso machine with milk frother. I love mine. It works great and with the different controls you can make an espresso, a cup of coffee, a latte or cappuccino. Looks cute in our coffee bar too.

Great product
Bought one for my wife’s birthday and it has been the best gift ever for sure lol. It has paid for itself with how many coffees have got made and it’s very simple to operate and quick to actually produce coffee.

Dissapointed with cust service and warranty service is useless
I purchased my machine on May 5th 2020 after owing another Mr Coffee machine much less expensive that lasted me for a few years. I was pleased with the ease of using the machines. With normal cleaning these machines should last years. This machine one morning in March of 2021, 10 months after purchase just refused to turn on for the morning coffee session. I spent my morning pulling out all my paper work and gathering warranty information. After sending the email to Mr Coffee support I was told I had to box it up, they made no offer to send me any packing, and pay for the shipping back to Mr Coffee. The return emails from Mr Coffee seemed to be generated by computer with no actual person involved. I managed to ship it off after finding suitable packaging and paying the $24.95 shipping. I thought that after it was on the way Mr Coffee would cross ship another machine, wishful thinking as I really love my coffee in the morning. This was not the case, after receiving the machine and determining it was broken they shipped another in return. All the while I'm using an old Kureg I found in the garage, dusted off and had to go buy Kcups. They stated in their email they were replacing my machine with a "new" machine however after receiving the machine and so looking forward to a great cup of coffee I was disappointed again. I always had used the tall cappuccino selection and this machine was dispensing about half the amounts of liquid, both milk and water than the first machine leaving me with a half a cup of coffee. I tried different combinations of latte and cappuccino over the next week trying not to have to send this one back but was unsuccessful. After contacting support again I get the stock email to pack it up and pay for the shipping to return it, This time I at least had the packaging materials but I sent them a copy of their warranty that says nothing about end user having to pay for the shipping. They offered to send me a return shipping label. Still no cross shipment was offered so I'm back to my old black coffee while waiting for a new machine. I do not know for sure that the machines that were sent to me were actually "new" coffee makers, Judging from the milk and water containers they appeared new/unused. However the power cords appeared to be stiffer than a new cord would be. After finally receiving the 3ed machine the disappointment continued. Again the fluid levels would not dispense a full cup of coffee. The milk compartment would connect and remove easier than the second machine would. I had to fight with the second machine to get it to latch into place. I decided here that with all the flaws of the 3ed machine I was going to keep this one and break the chain of musical espresso machines. At least I'm not drinking coffee from an old Kureg and every morning is a new experience of what buttons to push. The days of getting a large or grande cup of coffee are left to the coffee shops. I'll just keep drinking many small tea cup size coffee's in the morning while I wonder just what the minions down at Mr Coffee were thinking when they decided that a morning cup of coffee was only 4 to 5oz. Other than that it's a great coffee maker. Temp of coffee is just right. Ease of use is nice. I wish the milk selector would allow for more milk to be dispensed. Never had it clog due to to fine a grind on the beans. Hopefully you'll get more than a year before having to contact support and if you contact them don't pay for the return shilling.
