There is a reason these are a little more expensive than every other bracket, and they are totally worth it! Unlike all the rest, these are 3/16" thick. Beefcake! No other bracket compares. If you are mounting the 20" big blues, use these and have no regrets.

Heavy duty - solid product
Was hesitant due to cost differential however it is well worth it. Bracket is well made, solid and 20" filter housing show no signs of drooping once hung. Stable and firm when tightening or loosening the housing to change the filter medium. Excellent product and highly recommended.

The best filter bracket you can buy.
These brackets are super heavy duty, they have zero deflection with filter mounted. I know they cost a little more, but just like the saying goes "you only get what you pay for". Worth every dollar.

Excellent exactly as described

Solid - the real steel
So, I bought a 20 inch filter housing and it came with a weak thin gauge steel bracket - I ordered this replacement bracket because a review said it was solid. I don't think the previous review was emphatic enough about how stout this bracket is - well made and solid. Don't hesitate to buy.
