Valrhona Cocoa Powder 250 gm

Oh my god. I read somewhere that this is the world's best cocoa powder, so I had to try it. And boy does it live up to it's name! Absolutely amazing. When used for hot chocolate, it is dreamy. Here's a tip if you're keto, or just love being decadent sometimes. Put 2tsp of cocoa powder in a jug with some of your preferred sweetener (I use 3tsp monkfruit sweetener). Pour in a splash of milk and mix to a paste. Then pour in about 250ml of double cream and stir it up like your life depends on it. Heat in the microwave for 1min, then 30sec intervals for another 1-1.5mins. Enjoy your thick, creamy, indulgent hot chocolate 😉

I have been purchasing this cocoa for a number of years online. The quality and flavour is superior to other products that I have been able to buy in a supermarket - therefore, even though it is expensive, it's really worth the money in my opinion. As a home bakers, I always wanted to make chocolate cakes that were a dark, chocolatey colour rather than brown(and supermarket cocoa always made my cakes brown and didn't have the depth of flavour I wanted) and this cocoa has given me the desired colour along with superior chocolate flavour. It's a fantastic product.

Ok, you get what you pay for. I use it for hot chocolate and it’s miles better than standard stuff. I had been a Green & Black fan, then tried some supermarket own brands and Cadbury’s bournville and it was hard to tell them apart, taste wise. However Valrhona is a different beast! It’s like drinking molten chocolate and so satisfying.

Cannot remember if I did a review before ... but this is such good cocoa!! Yes, it is more expensive than the supermarket, BUT it beats anything you buy in the supermarket not just in FLAVOUR but also in its use. It dissolves easier in hot chocolate and bakes. If you appreciate the chocolate, it is worth spending a few points more on this. You will not regret it!

This cocoa powder is incredibly high quality, dissolves really well in hot drinks and provides a very distinct rich taste, The powder is also very fine and works well for baking too, It is quite expensive but definitely worth it for the quality, 5/5 ( Click “Helpful” if this helped )

Lovely flavour, although probably would not buy again as felt it was over priced (over hyped) for the flavour. We use for hot chocolate.

Selbst gemachter Kakao mit Valrhona ist ein ganz besonderes Geschmackserlebnis. Habe mir mehrere unterschiedliche Sorten Kakaopulver gekauft und dann 5 verschiedene gegeneinander getestet. Absoluter Testsieger ist von diesen 5 das französische Spitzenerzeugnis. Löst sich sehr schnell auf, hat keinen merkwürdigen Beigeschmack, wie man andere Sorten (vor allem Biosorten scheint das zu kennzeichnen). Der höhere Preis ist weitgehend gerechtfertigt, obwohl man das als Kilo-Ware deutlich günstiger kaufen kann. Mache ich beim nächsten Mal, leider nicht bei Amazon erhältlich
