Description

Palintest DPD 3 tablets are used in conjunction with DPD 1 tablets to obtain a Total Chlorine result. Once your water sample has DPD 1 added another tablet of DPD 3 is used to obtain Total Chlorine. We know there is chlorine present. Yesterday I went into a pool shop to ask for help, they say the packs that I have are faulty given out false readings. I tried the pool shop testers and can now see that my local shop was right, theirs are giving me the normal pink DPD reading of 2. I was so worried that we were about to empty a very large inground pool.

False readings

I thought there must be something wrong with my pool as these testers were showing as yellow on the DPD side or just clear water. We know there is chlorine present.
