PCC MOTOR 110CC Kid ATV Quad 6" Wheel COOLSTER-3050C (Army Pink)

I rarely write reviews for items that I buy, but 9 months later, I feel driven to review my experience with the coolster 110 quad. We purchased the quad back in August for my son's birthday. He was very excited to get his first gas quad. We took it out of the package, charged the battery, put in gas, and check the oil. He then rode it for about 2 hours and had a great time. The next day he went to ride his quad, and click. I looked in the frame and 3 wires had already melted together. I separated the wires and insulated them. Tried again and all I heard was the solenoid activating. The company was very receptive to my requests for help and I quickly became a Chinese quad mechanic. After 2 weeks of waiting for replacement parts and countless hours taking the quad apart I finally got it running after replacing the starter and getting a new solenoid. He was able to ride it again for a few weeks. Fall and winter came and he did not ride it often. It was stored in the garage and covered between uses. 6 months into owning it and again "click". Given my previous experience I knew exactly what was happening. So I contacted the seller again but this time I was told it was out of the 30 day window and they could no longer help me. Fortunately, you can pretty much buy every piece of the quad other than the Frame and skin for less than $25. So, I replaced the starter and once again had a functioning quad. Few weeks rolled by and the quad started showing signs of difficulty starting. I checked the wiring. There were a few areas that were exposed so I insulated them. Still, the quad would barely turn over. Hooked up a charger and was able to get the quad started. I thought that maybe a new battery would help. So, bought a new battery and had a few success of starting the quad. However, now once again we are back to having the quad barely start. It will turn over once every 1-2 seconds with the starter unless we jump start it with a battery charger. So every time my son wants to ride his quad we have to jump start it. Needless to say I will never buy a Chinese quad again. The only reason I am giving them more than 1 star is the fact that I can still get the quad running. Just remember that you get what you pay for, and that you only have 30 days of help when something goes wrong.
