Best Temp regulator on the market
Must have if you are smoking!

Easy to install, works perfectly, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS about the amount of charcoal.
I love to cook on my Big Green Egg and am always looking for ways to improve my selections. On windy days the temp is hard to control using the upper and lower vents. With this device the input air is blown in only when needed to keep the smoker at the temp you set. I used way too much charcoal my first attempt, did not read instructions, and had difficulty. Second attempt with baby back ribs was wonderful. Set my temp at 275, lit with one wax cube, shut the lid and prepared the meat while smoker heated up. Everything was ready when I got meat ready, opened lid and put ribs on, shut it up and let the IQ110 do the work. Of course I kept an eye on it but it never needed my attention. It held that temp until I shut it down. Great ribs, and I was able to drink a couple more beers without having to manage the fire. I have found a new "friend" for my Egg. Completely satisfied with the operation of the unit.

This works incredibly well!!! I’m a backyard weekend warrior, and I can’t tell you how easy this makes it. You truly set it, and forget it!! So easy to use!

Figure out how to set the top vent on the kamado...
Basically good, quite a learning curve. I only use it for cooks over an hour or two. Will try brisket in a few weeks when I feel comfortable with setting the heat initially. I have tried using the IQ to manage the temperature a few minutes after the fire is lit as well as waiting until the heat is stable. The trick seems to involve setting the daisy wheel properly. This is what I have learned so far. The temperature dial on mine is not accurate but not a big deal either. What I do now is use my ThermPro with dual probe to get the exact temperature. For example 250 degrees on the ThermPro then I set the dial on the Iq110 to wherever the green light is solid and it is fixed at 250 degrees. I know the ThermPro is accurate because I have verified it with my Mosiso instant read thermometer and the house oven as well. Yesterday I did a pot of steak Chili on my Primo all in one Kamado and it turned out perfect. It simmered slowly at 300 degrees for about 3.5 hours and everything worked effortlessly. On my Kamado, I have the 1Q110 fan set at 2, the top vent closed but the daisy wheel open wide. Seems to work for me. Time to experiment with a brisket some day soon.

Works somewhat but less than expected.
The sensors maintain the temperature but the fluctuation is more than desired. I may be doing something wrong to cause that but there are not that many options to change. Only have used it a few times and so this is still a learning experience. Will update if my experience changes over the next few uses.

Does what it says it does for a more consistent cook
I rarely write reviews anymore but felt compelled to leave a review for the Pitmaster. In short, it does what it is supposed to do - make the temperature consistent. I would have good cooks and bad cooks on my Pit Boss for years. Sometimes the meat would be great, other times, only ok. I had a lot of trouble regulating the temperature at times, and was often frustrated (leading to long times between using the kamdo). This device dials it in. My cooks have been consistently 2 notches better for this device. I should have bought sooner. Plus, it is a US manufacturer, I believe, which is the icing on the cake.

Set it and forget it
I chose this product to add to my Akorn Kamado Kooker to keep the fire burning. It did far more than that. It is a great temperature controller. I found that adding more coal than required is a good thing if you are planning a long cooking event. Don't be concerned that the temp will get out-of-control. Cooking for several hours at a controlled temperature is a snap. The IQ110 is a great tool. It is designed well and works better than expected. My only comment is the manufacturer should give a chart or indicate which unit to buy for a particular cooker. After buying the "large" unit, I realized I should have bought the standard unit for my cooker. No problem, I have the tools to modify the kit for my application. Thanks to the manufacturer for a good job.

Love it! Works great everytime so far!
I have had this guy for over 4 years now and it's still rock solid and helping me make GREAT BBQ!!! All i do is long cooks with it and it performs every time! I have a Maverick remote that monitors the temp also and it's always the same as the dial on this also! So i have 2 devices that agree its' 225 and thermometer on my Kamado joes isn't that far off either. No need for an expensive controller when this one does the job!
