30 Seeds Thai Butterfly Pea Seeds

The seeds are easy to handle and easy to plant. I did not soak mine, just put them in an organic planting mix inside a planter on my covered driveway. It took about 30 days to germinate and peek out. The plants are hardy and growing wonderfully and I can't wait to get some to harvest. All the sites recommend cutting back often if you plant in a flowerbed.They spread really well so that is why I used a container.Butterfly Pea flowers make a delcious tea and beautiful too. Blue without lemon and purple with. Its mild flavor is a lot like hibiscus without the sharpness. I've made it into a ginger ale. Using fresh ginger, organic sugar and bottled spring water it is a super carbonated delight and very refreshing. Great deal price wise. All of which makes a fabulous probiotic healthy soda. Of the 12 seeds I direct sowed in my garden, 10 came up which I consider successful. The flowers were and the tea they make is stunningly beautiful.

I appreciate the helpful directions included with these seeds, but despite the fact that I followed everything to the letter, only around 30% of them germinated. I started them indoors in peat pots and gave them plenty of water and a warm place to sprout. To add insult to injury, of those that came up, half died when I transferred the seedlings outside to the garden. Our weather is more than sufficiently warm (which is supposed to be ideal for these plants), so I’m not sure what the issue is. Looks like other customers are experiencing similar problems. I’m very seriously considering pulling up the few that are left and starting over with something else if they’re going to be this much trouble right out of the gate! I really wanted to grow these, too…

I buy 30 seeds but until now only two seeds grow

If the few seeds that have germinated actually grow up be thrilled. However the germination rate is very low. I’m an avid gardener and grow many plants. The seller did resend the order as the seeds were lose in the envelope they sent first. They were wonderful to deal with but the germination rate is a bit of a downer.

Ready for springtime so I can get these planted
