Feisol Tournament CT-3342 3-Section Rapid Carbon Tripod

Great tripod. Lightweight and easy to use. I've been using another tripod brand...ahem...Vaxxxxxx...cough...and often found myself struggling with the legs, and also the stability. This Feisol Tournament CT-3342 3-section tripod is no trouble at all and well-built with FOUR, instead of one, rubber bushing inside each leg section to help with ease of locking each section into place. I can set it up quickly and move on to get my shots! I like the twist lock style so that if I take my tripod into a river, I can easily take the legs apart aftward and get all the water out of them. I have tested the stability of this tripod by extending the legs out all the way, and then giving the whole thing a firm twist back and forth, and I feel confident that my camera is safe on this stable tripod. It also comes with a nice carry bag which has a nice padded strap and a pocket to keep things like wrenches and spike feet for my tripod. I'm considering getting one more for my gimble head to be mounted onto. I highly recommend this tripod to anyone who wants a well-made stable tripod for a great price...unless you don't mind spending hundreds of dollars more. This is well worth the price savings, and I have enjoyed using it!

Meh... Not really a 50lb rating. Sure with the legs NOT extended but it still buldges when you apply pressure to stabilize the tripod. I use tripod to shoot 18.5 lb rifles off of. This tripod is not sturdy enough to handle this plus downward pressure. The legs move... The hinge stop at the top of the tripod is not very strong and only at the most upright angle position can it hold its own... Not so if you need to splay the legs out to take a kneeling shot. When u apply pressure to stabilize it feels like the tripod might snap.... I got a gitzo 3540LS which has a lower weight rating (38.5 lbs) but NONE of the previous problems were an issue. It's rock solid.... The feisol is only OK

Using this for precision rifle shooting with a #120 pound rated leveling base. It works great and it the best value to weight I have found. Are there better tripods for precision shooting? Sure, but at a lot more $ and weight.

This tripod works well, nice and light, and the screw fasteners on the legs are easy to operate. It's also a nice height, no bending over the tripod!

its tall, stiff, and light. downside is that it's massive.
