Besonders hilfreich beim Anpassen von Schnittmustern finde ich die großen Nahtzugaben und die Faltenanalyse, um die Stoffmenge genau da zu reduzieren oder zu erhöhen, wo es nötig ist. Dank der Anpassungen am Schnittmusterpapier minimiert sich das Feintuning am Stoff bzw. der Hose selbst. Beachtet werden muss, dass an manchen Stellen auf dem Schnittmuster die Nahtzugabe mit einem Klebestreifen verstärkt werden muss, damit das Papier bei den Anproben nicht einreißt. Das Buch ist auf Englisch; meines Erachtens sind die Anleitungen aber gut verständlich und vor allem auch gut bebildert.

Very clear descriptions of the processes involved. If you want to make trousers that really do fit then this book will most definitely help!

Great book

I really love this book, it is pleasing to look at and flip through, and the information is really good. I especially like the method used for welt pockets in this book. The book shows you both fitting technique as well as how to sew the pants. They only show you one type of pant(a trouser) fitted on different bodies, but I suppose you can still use the principles you learn here with any style of pant. They do tissue fitting but you can use the same principle if you do a Muslin instead
