Has anyone tried this in a laptop expresscard slot? I'd like to read a 128GB SDXC card in my Thinkpad Expresscard slot.

I put one of these adapters into a Sony Vaio VPCF1 1st-generation-i7 laptop with a [red] Samsung 512 GB microSDXC EVO Plus card. I use the card to hold my torrents so the mechanical hard drive won't get filled up. The card registers 476 GB, and it's so stuffed it only has 23 GB free. Glad I can confirm the adapter works up to 512 GB. The adapter sticks out a few millimeters, not a problem. And the vendor should update the marketing information to confirm the adapter is OK for higher capacity cards. Today 512 GB, tomorrow 1 TB. Will 1 TB work??

Would this work with Sony pmw-200 Camcorder?

It might. I believe the factor is what speed the card that you are writing to is. Make sure that is is certified to be used with the PMW-200 camcorder and you should be okay.

Can you simply use this in a standard laptop expresscard slot?

I don't know what you mean with a "standard laptop expresscard", but I just bought it and put it in my expresscard slot and it works perfectly.

Does this work with sony EX1 and can i read the sdhc card on my macbook pro through the sd card slot?

Yes, works on my Sony EX1R. Can't answer the second question, I have an SxS Reader that I connect to my MacBook via USB to transfer footage.
