Good bundle for starting out on Paranormal investigations.

I am not a believer in ghosts myself, but nevertheless thought this kit would be great fun to take the grandchildren on a ghost hunting expedition. The kit includes a voice recorded and EMF meter, both of which are interesting and useful things to have in any case, and a little set of motion balls to catch any ghostly movements. The kids loved the idea, and we had a great fun afternoon, although we didn't detect any paranormal activity - just lots of giggling! The kit is well made, and should last for quite a number of ghost hunting adventures. The voice recorder is useful in itself, and one of my grandchildren has also been using it for homework tasks, so well worth having. In terms of value for money, although the asking price might seem a little high, I think it is well worth it for the fun the kit has given, plus the additional uses, which makes it a versatile thing to have. A great buy - recommended for family fun.

My wife is a massive fan of the paranormal and had been on a number of "ghost hunts" so when I saw this kit I thought that she would love it. The kit comprises of an EMF detector / meter, a voice recorder and a set of three movement detector spheres. All the items seem to work really well - I've not detected any ghosts but the EMF detector does pick up fields from my microwave oven and electric mixer, so in principle it should work! The movement detector balls work well - they are a very visual indication of movement / disturbance and light up and flash if moved even slightly. They would be best used witb a camera to record any movement over a long period. The voice recorder works really well and is quite sensitive. It has sufficient memory to record continuously for a number of hours so can be left to record in suspected areas and then transfer the audio files for review. Whilst the individual bits of equipment are good the "kit" could be better - if the items were packaged as a proper ghost hunting kit rather than just put together in a bag it would be better. Even a themed instruction leaflet would be a huge improvement, overall though this is a good value item for paranormal investigation.

This bundle arrived as a bit of fun for a group evening and ended up keeping everyone occupied far longer than expected. Having several pieces included means you can experiment with different approaches rather than relying on a single gadget, and it certainly adds to the atmosphere when exploring old buildings or unusual locations. The voice recorder is straightforward to use, the EMF meter responds quickly to changes in its surroundings, and the light-up motion balls are easy to spot in low light. Whether you're a serious enthusiast or simply curious, it provides an engaging way to add some structure to an investigation.

My mates and I took this kit out to an old abandoned barn near York to see what we could pick up. The main meter unit feels solid in the hand and fits comfortably during long walks in the dark. Pacing around the cold, drafty rooms, the lights started flickering near an old doorway, making everyone jump. The motion balls are quite sensitive; rolling them across the uneven floorboards sometimes triggers false alarms, meaning we had to place them perfectly still to get a reliable reading. Listening back to the audio files on the computer was straightforward. The recordings picked up quite a bit of background static and wind noise, making it hard to distinguish faint sounds clearly. It took some time adjusting to the interface in complete darkness without fumbling around for the correct buttons. Carrying everything together is easy enough, though an included protective case would have stopped the components rattling around in my bag during transit. We definitely got some spooky results, even though half the time it was probably just mice or mobile phone interference setting things off.
