It is as expected. My kids already lost the outer part of it but I knew that would happen sooner than later:) I will say that my 6 yr old and is cousins had a blast pranking everyone OVER AND OVER while we had all the pieces! Cute and fun and it's really made quite well. I say it's made well because we still have the piece of gum with the snapper part still attached and it is going strong. With my boys I just knew it would be torn apart but surprisingly enough it remains in tact! Let me say that if an older child or adult were to handle it and not let little hands run around with it, I believe this little toy would last for many many years. Fun fun fun!

This snap gum makes an excellent addition to my 7 year old sons bag of tricks. I remember having snap gum just like this when I was young. Adams Pranks sells good quality goodies at very reasonable prices.

The spring in this thing is so embarrassingly weak A friend of mine had one of these years ago and when that thing slapped you it would certainly make you jump when this one goes off a lot of my friends I've tried it on literally could not tell what happened I hate to explain to them what was going on and that just ruins the whole gag this thing is garbage
