The little bit that you stick into the air vent and attach to the phone holder is crap. It just flip-flops without locking into place. Ever. I bought two of these, both are the same so it’s not like it’s a fluke with one of them.However, the backing that you can stick to a surface in your car seems to work great IF you have a smooth surface to stick it to. Meaning the “orange peel“ texture that a lot of dashboards have will be less than grippy with this adhesive. Now granted, I haven’t gone through all of winter and all of summer so I don’t know how it handles heat and cold changes. But so far… So good.The opening will handle the biggest cell phone and it’s easy enough to operate the release button and the squeeze-it-together to clamp your phone into place.

Bought a similar GoXT mount from a local store about 4 years back because it was cheap and had an adhesive mounting arm instead of AC clips (why block a perfectly good AC vent?). Turned out to be pretty decent and used it until upgrading to an iPhone X which was too big to fit in my iPhone 5 mount. This mount comes with 2 sizes of AC clips more importantly Rock solid adhesive arm mount. Trying to take the old one off after 4 years required a tool, no way is it ever coming off through wear and tear. Mount is covered in soft foam and arms have very precise size control, should fit any phone and case easily.

I have been using it for almost 5 years. This is my 3rd one (for different cars of course). The only downside is, it shakes a little and you have to be careful when installing it because it’s kind of permanent. You could still remove it but you will lose the 3M stickiness.Pro tip: when installing it, clean the surface and let it sit for a day or two before using it. I learned it the hard way as I had a hard time installing it in newer model of camry. But once it works you are not going back to any other product.

It holds my very heavy & huge Samsung Galaxy S5 and does not move no matter how quickly I turn corners, hit pot holes or suddenly have to swerve. This makes for safe driving when using my navigator app. i only have to glance a tiny bit to the left, I have to move my eyes more when I look in my rear view mirror. Buy it, you'll love it. BTW, it does come with 2 clips and if it can hold my phone steady, which is a huge and heavy dinosaur compared to the sleek lightweight new phones, it will hold yours.

Very happy with this phone holder for my older RAV4. Second purchase. Arms wore out after 2 years and steady use. Prefer the adjustable metal holder so I can use my air vent.

It took some time to find where it fits best. Holds my iPhone great. Best one I could find anywhere.

Did not hold very sterdy
