Lavender Provence (Lavandula x.)

I went on my annual hunt for French lavender and decided I would try this particular vendor Even though the plant was expensive . The bottom line is that it is a high quality Healthy plant and I have high hopes it will make it through the Winter like my large one purchase last year I have visions of a variable field of lavender as one would see in Provence !

This is an excellent and gorgeous plant. It arrived with a few buds, and it had many buds in just a couple of weeks. The flowers are of bright colors and quite aromatic. It requires a lot of water at first, but I’m only watering it now a couple of times per week.

I ordered my lavender plant close to a year ago and was very skeptical buying a plant online but it came packaged well and I’m happy to report it’s doing wonderful. It survived a pretty harsh Pennsylvania winter with significant snow and it is looking great. It grew quite a bit last summer and I’m planning to purchase another. Very pleased!!

From the picture, description and cost of this plant, I expected a large, healthy lavender plant in bloom. The plant I got had been rather severely trimmed. The plant arrived in December, and by February, the plant was not thriving, less and less each week. I put the plant outside (warm temps in the South) and the plant has continued to look worse. I checked carefully for bugs -- none. I didn't over water the plant as I know from years of experience, lavender plants don't like "wet feet". I won't order from this nursery again - ever!

My lavender arrived looking pretty bad and very dry. But I watered it and let it sit in the water overnight, and until the next morning it looked mostly recovered. I realize they need to send them dry, so was not real concerned. It has flourished since, and i have been very happy with it’s growth. The lavender was much fuller than I expected. I had ordered it to replace a gift of lavender that died, and my new one was too large for the deceased lavender’s pot! That is a good problem! Very happy with plant.

Love the freshness of the fragrance. Planted it close to the house so we can enjoy it more.

Advertised as being a stronger fragrance than actually is. Took a while for growth, but according to package plant was in a dormant state. Started new growth now but only on one side. Hope 1/2 Is not dead.

Two great lavender plants - healthy and as pictured (large). They arrived in good condition which is surely a challenge for live plants. I would buy from premier plant solutions again.
