I ordered these white match boxes thinking they would be nice to personalize and include with gifts to clients, friends, and family. However, they are small in size at about 2 1/8 inches. Therefore, only smaller wooden matches would fit inside. Also, the matches will not lay completely flat and straight in the box. Instead, they lay slightly to the side. If the boxes were even an eighth of an inch wider, they would have worked better. But the striker does function superbly and lit a match on the first strike

Really unclear that there are no matches in the box.

These are a handy little match box. I have a little craft thing on the side where I make soap for markets. I saw these and thought they'd be a perfect fit for creating samples as well as for providing an easily transportable little bar for travel. These will fit a variety of small craft items or even small workshop items, and are easy to write on or label. The box itself is a good weight, holding together nicely and has a snug fit to prevent accidental opening. Does anyone make their own matches even? The price is a touch high though. I think a the $20 mark is better warranted. Otherwise a good little box with versatility.

Pretty good construction with big, tall strike surfaces on both sides. I feel like the drawers don't slide in as smoothly as other smaller, thinner matchboxes I've tried. But these are great for little art projects where you can stamp, draw, or paint on the surface and make little gifts or business advertising products with. You get a lot of them, and they come well packed in a cardboard box so that they don't bend in transit.

do not buy - these are not standrd size. Waste of money
