I love this Reading Stand
Quite simply, the ErgoHold Universal Reading Stand is the best reading stand I have used. Easy to set up, it holds even heavy items safely and securely with no problem. The ErgoHold Universal Reading Stand is light-weight, compact and very sturdy. It fits easily in my computer case along with my Kindle for easy storage and travel. I have also used it to hold a medium sized cookbook for easy access to recipes and yes, its very easy to turn pages when set up correctly. I will be purchasing another of these great little stands for my husband.

... my tablet or book on a table can be bad for my neck
My PT told me that reading on my tablet or book on a table can be bad for my neck. So he suggested that I use a book/tablet stand to help with that. The strain has definitely gone away. I just find that this product is a little hard to use. But it's not a burden that I need to return it. It's just hard to open the flap that holds the tablet/book up. But other than that, good product.

Not for large books.
This item is not sufficient for a college maths textbook. There is no grip on the base (where the book rests) which causes a lot of slipping. The back is also not very high, so any college size book seems like it would tip over easily. The page clamps are nice (but tough to use at the same time as trying to get the book to stay put. The legs in the back are cheap and don't have any sort of lockout feature. For the money, I'd explore other models.

Great design, very versatile and does what it says ...
Great design, very versatile and does what it says it will do. Folds up small, but works big time. It cost more than I wanted to pay for this feature, but you get what you pay for. It is important to carefully follow the directions for handling the strong arms. It is easy the way they describe, but can be difficult the way you might imagine without reading the instructions.

Awesome universal stand!
This universal stand does everything as advertised. It holds books very well...maybe too well sometimes as the springs are very powerful and it can be a little hard to turn the page sometimes. But it holds your next couple of pages very well and makes turning pages easy. It makes taking notes as painless as possible. It also holds tablets and phones very well. I've used it with an Iphone and Ipad and it holds both great! With the Iphone you can just place it on the stand; with the tablets the holder grip it very well and it is quite stable. It also folds up nicely.

Piece of Junk
It's too small to hold much of anything. It would only work for a book that happened to be exactly the right size. Worst of all, the bottom grips are on springs that are so strong that I had to really wrestle with it each time I wanted to turn the page. Very hard to use. And I risked tearing the page every time I tried to turn one.

No Law/ Case books fit
I'm giving this product three stars because it does not work with heavy text books and case books that a lot of students who are studying either law or medicine or science degree use. The holder can handle smaller fictional or nonfictional books (paperback and hardcover, I checked) but anything over roughly 9 inches onward and paperback just sort of sag backwards and topples over. The heavier thicker texts which are hard bound and large hold, but the pages are very hard to turn so you have to essentially take the book out of the clincher things, turn the page, and then place the book back into the holder. Poor little guy, you're cute and pocket sized but I can't keep you. :(

Ergohold Universal Stand is a good product
I am very happy with the Ergohold Universal Stand. I use it to hold my Nook e-reader when I'm sitting at the table enjoying lunch. It works perfectly and holds the Nook at just the right angle for me.
