The latch was an exact replacement for the one that wore out in my bathroom window. Same casting, identical color, and it installed as it should. It also came with the 4 flathead mounting screws. Shipped fast, perfect part, I'm happy.If you buy one, test the latch rotation to make sure it is smooth and correct befire you install it. If it does not rotate smoothly, there is a screw that can be tightened if loose, or removed to fix anything binding in the mechanism. On reassembly, you may wish to add a little thread locker like loctite.The mounting screw holes were very slightly than the original part, but within a usable tolerance, so I started the pair of screws in each piece and then tightened each a little at a time, one then the other, until they were both snug. I am overjoyed, because the window was installed in 1980! It broke because it was a weaker pivit post, not a screw, but swaged aluminum, like a rivet head, and was not repairable.I recommend this item!

Perfect replacement if this is what you need. Easy to install, quality item.

We had some old aluminum windows with these type of latches in them which must have been about 20 years old. Over time it wore out and broke so we needed to replace it and these latches were exactly the same style. They installed easily and have been working great ever since. I'm so glad we found these instead of having to install new style of latches on the windows.

It took me a long time to uncover this part but it was exactly what I needed to replace the handle on an old window. I know they don't last forever but it feels sturdy and screwed on easily. Save the screws from the old one as you may need them to fit into existing holes (not an issue for newer ones).

Not the best quality and it's overpriced for just being aluminum.

Sturdy handles

Ordered these, and even though the price had jumped about 10% in the last month or so, the quality of the window latches is still quite good. The only thing that keeps me from giving this a 5-star rating instead of 4-stars is that apparently these locks come in 'left-hand' and 'right-hand' models [the original locks that had worn out were made in mirror images of each other], and there was no indication of this on the website or in the description. It is not critical, the locks work fine. but some will not match when the windows are latched.

Was happy to find this part to fix a 30 year old broken window handle. Now it can be securely latched again!
