Loved it as a child, love it as an adult. Timeless adventure classic
I recently introduced my youngest kids to Enid Blyton's enchanting world through "The Magic Faraway Tree," i loved it as a child, my eldest comes to listen too when i read it at bed time even though he knows it off by heart now. Seeing how captivated they are made me realize just how timeless and magical this book truly is. From the very first page, I was transported back to my own childhood, where I would eagerly turn the pages, desperate to discover what new and exciting land awaited at the top of the Faraway Tree. Enid Blyton has a remarkable gift for storytelling, and this book is no exception. Her vivid descriptions and lovable characters make you feel as if you are part of the adventure with Jo, Bessie, and Fanny. The Magic Faraway Tree is a testament to the power of imagination and the importance of friendship. Each chapter introduces a new and fantastical land and adventure at the top of the tree, from the bustling land of Topsy-Turvy to the delights of the Land of Goodies. Every adventure is fantastic and will leave you wanting to read the next one. What sets this book apart is its ability to capture the imagination of both children and adults alike. As a child, I loved Moon-Face, Silky the fairy, and now as an adult i find myself being more like the deaf old Saucepan Man. Even now, I appreciate the timeless themes of friendship, kindness, and the boundless wonders of the imagination. This book was written a long time ago and may appear a little old fashioned and maybe not to modern exacting political correct standards, but look past this and enjoy it for what it is a series of wonderful childrens adventures "The Magic Faraway Tree" is not just a book; it's an enchanting journey that has stood the test of time. I'm thrilled to see how my kids love with this classic tale. It's a must-read for anyone who believes in the magic of books and the power of a child's imagination. This is a story that will continue to capture hearts and inspire dreams for generations to come.

Full 3 stories loved these as a child and still do.
My sister's granddaughter is going to read these with the audiobook. She has a grandma who is a teacher so I think this is a great way to help with reading and recognising words.

Definitely a "Story Book". Mostly text. Small illustrations, but delightful stories
Definitely a "Story Book". Mostly text. Small illustrations, but delightful stories. This is not illustrated with large and colourful pictures. It is a collection of Faraway stories that is ideal for reading to children at bedtime. or for general entertainment. It is NOT a "picture" book. This book was bought for a six and and eight yr old child and they are thoroughly enjoying hearing the stories at bedtime. The 8 yr old could easily read the book, but it is very thick and therefore quite daunting and heavy to hold! It is wonderful having the variety of tales all in one book and the girls find it very enjoyable and can't wait to hear the next chapter each evening! A good quality book! An excellent buy.

Vintage book
La copertina è diversa da quella in foto, ma la storia è quella originale, con illustrazioni molto carine, classico vintage libro per bimbi. È una ristampa del 1989. Il rivenditore è stato molto gentile e in totale valuto 4 stelle.
