Fertile Chicken Hatching Eggs

Very good eggs, but only one hatched due to the delivery process, that resulted in strong shakes...

Delivery of the fertilized eggs were actually quite fast. However, the results were a big disappointment. We followed the directions to the teeth with the temperature control and monitoring of the incubator, and turning of the eggs daily. 24 days gone by and still nothing hatched. My 7 years old son was greatly disappointed after spending the last 24 days with high hope of an egg hatching.

Love my chicks! I bought 6 eggs and 8 came in the mail. 1 came broken, 2 I dropped, 3 hatched, 1 hatched and didn’t make it and one was not fertile. Considering all this I consider it a great hatch success. I have no idea the breed of chickens but they are super cute and super healthy.

So I received my eggs sometime in the evening and wasn’t notified until the morning they arrived. Usually they are placed on my gate with a picture but this time they were put in my mailbox. The temperature at night dropped to 55 degrees so retrieved them in the morning and placed them in my warmer right away. 1 egg has a small crack so put some tape on it as I’ve done this before in the past and still was successful. I received 8 total so will check in a few days and see if their are signs that they are fertile.

I got this mix of eggs and the first batch was delayed in the mail for days so I contacted the seller and another batch was mailed. The first batch and second arrived at about the same day. I put them all in the incubator with not much hope of the first batch hatching. Out of 13 eggs ( couple arrived broken) 3 hatched. I'm not upset tho we got what we wanted. 2 roosters and one hen. With all the variables that are needed to hatch an egg I wouldn't place blame on the seller. Picture is of the roosters. I didn't want to add a review until they matured. I am pleased.

Update: day 22 came and went. Not one hatched. It is unbelievable. Considering that my previous experience with this process has been the exact opposite. Of course, previously the fertile eggs weren’t purchased through this seller. What a waste of time in our summer!!! Wow Unfortunately, not even one of the eggs received show sign of life when candled. I have done this twice before (once a shipment and once my own coop’s fertile eggs), and my hatch rate was very high via incubation. I am shocked at the quality of these eggs. Will update once day 22 hits, HOWEVER, so far 5 of the 14 received are gonzo and rest show no sign of life. My kids are devastated.

Out of all the eggs we got from the seller, one arrived broken, no biggie. We put these in the incubator with some of our own eggs and had an excellent hatch rate. I've been there done that, but the wife really got a kick out of watching the whole process and I don't think she left the incubator during the pip and hatch stage LOL. Thank you to the seller for selling real deal fertile eggs, we had our own as well but wanted to add some variety to our flock. I've no idea what breeds we ended up with, but 'Goldie' is one of the ones that we got from this seller, and she avoided the 2002 'raccoon massacre' and survived, she's one of our favs.

Although I did have an issue with eggs not hatching the seller immediately offered to replace the eggs due to the low hatch rate. Due to the seller willing to help me I am giving her 5 stars. Not all sellers will be willing to replace eggs that weren't fertile.
