Phone Holder - Magnetic & Cradle Mount for A3, S3, RS3, E-Tron (8V) 2014-2020

My previous, plasticky phone mount got in the way of passengers' knees and wore out after a few years, so I needed a new one. This seems much sturdier, and holds the phone out of the way of knees though it almost blocks the screen above the dashboard; a large phone might get in the way a bit. Installation was easy; check YouTube for good videos on how to remove the air vents. Absolutely in LOVE with this mount. As an S3 owner, Clearmounts ACCURATELY describes the hardship of trying to find a cellphone/tablet mount for this car. That being said, they were ingenious to find this little hack of placing the mount behind the air vents. Extra plus for me since as of late, my phone has been overheating for no good reason (suspecting I need to do a hard reset); having it in between the two vents cools off my phone, while providing the perfect placement of my phone. Not to mention, the quality of the magnet is on point (Note: I haven't tried the magnet with a case on). I drive pretty roughly, and I've had my phone fly off of a mount; not this one!

I am 100% satisfied with this product. I bought it through Amazon, however due to delivery delays, the manufacturer itself sent me the item home ( I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina). Every step was a satisfying experience. From buying, shipping, receiving, installing, using. The Phone mount not only has a sober nice look and quality finishing, it also fits PERFECTLY in my 2019 Audi A3 vents.The structure is weightlight , and the phone - I have an Iphone 12 pro - holds strongly to the mount. My long search for a good looking functional phone mount for my A3 e-tron is finally over.installation was very quick and simple. Pulling out the vents was admittedly a bit scary but they are very strong and I did not feel that there was any danger of breaking anything. The included spring loaded mount was a bit stiff. Definitely not as smooth as my old Kenu. The magnetic mount however is brilliant. It's a cleaner look and super quick and easy to mount the phone. My iPhone Xs is held quite securely and has never fallen, even cornering on rough roads. I'm very pleased and would recommend this product.

I've lived with this mount for a month now and it has been wonderful.The installation was super easy as long as you know how to remove the vents(and it's not hard to look it up, either). The vents come out pretty easily with a little care and a screw driver. The vent assemblies fit perfectly through the cutouts and the entire thing slots easily back into the dash.The finish of the bracket itself is great, and I don't have any massive complaints about the mount itself. I had seen a few complaints in reviews about the strength of the magnet, but after living with it for a month I can't possibly think of what kind of device people are trying to use this with that is too heavy for the magnets provided.I originally had one of the magnets on my phone before I put a case on it and it worked perfectly. There was not a single thing I could do to get it to slide or come loose unintentionally in any way. Even after I put a case on the phone with the magnet underneath the case, the connection was still pretty strong. The only time I could get the phone to slide off then was if I hit a particularly large bump or cornered VERY aggressively. However, the mount comes with two magnets so I just stuck the second magnet on the outside back of the case and I have had no problems since.I have only two complaints about the mount, and they're honestly pretty minor. The first is that the mount can site a LITTLE loosely between the vents and the dash itself. When pulling the phone on and off the mount it will move slightly, but the vents are really not designed to have anything between them and the dash, so that's understandable. It's a very minor gripe.The other is that the mount itself can work itself loose in two places. The screw mount that holds the magnet onto the dash adapter can work itself loose if you pull the phone off with a twisting motion and you'll need to re-tighten it every now and then. The other is that the rubber section that contains the magnet itself can come loose from the plastic. It never comes off the plastic piece, but it allows the mount to rotate freely which can cause the phone to rotate on the mount. Again, this is a very minor gripe since I was able to just inject some super glue between the plastic and rubber piece to fix it, but it's something I would like to see addressed if I were to buy it again.Overall I have been EXTREMELY happy with the mount and my issues with it are minor. Don't pay attention to the complaints about the magnet strength. I get the feeling these people are trying to mount something ridiculous to it like a full-size iPad or something.

I've tried several different versions of cell phone mounts for my S3. This one is the only one that really works and works great so far. The cup holder types don't work so well because of the cup holder's location. The 3M sticky types don't hold, not even with 40lb rated adhesive, due to the surface texture. The vents on the S3 are designed so weird and are designed to move smoothly that they don't stay put. This come with two different types of holders. I'm using the magnetic one and it holds great. Even holds the large Galaxy note 9. Only took about 5 min to install completely with no tools or modification.

I waited a long time to install this expecting it to be challenging, but it was a breeze. When I don’t put the phone in, the holder is hardly noticeable as it sits between the two central vents. My wife didn’t even notice it until I pointed it out to her. It provides a very firm grip. My iPhone XR seems to be near the higher limit of the maximum width but holding the weight is no problem.

With all of the new laws regarding distracted driving, we needed a phone holder for my daughters car. Her A3 has such a small area to install a phone holder that this one caught our eye. The install was 4 minutes, and the look is fantastic, so much so my daughter loves it as it doesn't look cheap, and holds her iPhone 7 perfectly! Great product, secure mounting and easy install! great value.
