BJ Long Soft Touch Pipe Mouthpiece Stem Rubber Bits - 50 in each Tube

These are awesome!!! I almost don't want to review them because I don't want others catching on but I don't want to be selfish. When I bid on used pipes, one thing that makes many of the used pipes very low priced is gnarled tips because nobody wants to put their mouth somewhere that someone had before them for many years possibly. But after thorough cleaning and adding one of these to a pipe, most pipes at this point look as if they were only used a couple times to darken the bowl. I put them on every pipe, even brand new ones because they are also just more comfortable to bite on and you are able to grip a pipe better with these on the tip.

The rubber pipe bits came quickly. No smell, no taste, fit great. Save my stems! Minor observation: the bits came in a plastic cylinder with a cap on each end and in a plastic bag type envelope. The cylinder was flexible enough that the Post Office managed to squeeze it enough that both caps came off. Opening the envelope sprayed bits all over. A couple of pieces of Scotch Tape on each end of the tube would have fixed this.

I purchased these bits and they are pliable and fit on smaller to medium stems. I have them on my Peterson spigots as well as my Tara XL02. The rubber is new and pliable. I purchased a few bits from another company and the rubber was gooey and tore as I attempted to play them on my pipe. Great price point.

They fit Missouri Meerschaum Country Gentleman mouthpiece perfect. And would easily fit larger mouthpieces.I smoke 6-8 hrs a day and clench 90% of the time.These hold up for weeks and I clench hard, sometimes even chewing on the end. Other companies will break within a week or two. These still look fresh and new after multiple hours and days of clenching.

These softy bits are great and long lasting.

I did a search on Amazon for BJLong pipe bits and this came up. I had thought this was a company distributing BJLong pipe bits. They look like they may be fine. But my point is I overlooked the other Amazon vendors because I thought these were the brand I already buy but at a bulk discount.1) the packaging has sloppy labeling of the company, nothing about BJLong.2) it's obvious that the seller bought some sort of long clear tubing and cut it (sloppily) with a knife or scissors, etc. It's jagged and not even straight.3) there's some sort of messy glue on one end where they tried to put it together (like an elementary school science project)I'm going to keep them and I hope they stay on my pipes. But the buyer should be warned that these are NOT the BJLong brand. The seller should *clearly* note that in the header/title.

Purchased for use on my bagpipes, works great and less expensive than the blow stick protectors from bagpipe supply retailers. The little lip on the end is very natural and they fit round and oblong blow stick ends.
