Incredible mat, definitely worth the extra $10-15 dollars on top of the soft but thicker mats. I've tried a few mats, and this is one is definitely the best for me. It does not slip on hardwood floor to the point that you sometimes have to lift it to adjust if needed. Your hands or feet also don't slip when sweaty as it has a finely grained surface that doesn't allow that to happen. The thickness is very good too, not too bulky and soft enough so that my bones don't hurt at all even straight on hardwood floor - it is relatively thin (compared to 1/2 - 1 inch ones) but it is dense in a very good way making it feel great and comfortable.

I purchased this yoga mat a few months ago but only just recently began using it. I have been so far been using it daily for about 3 weeks on carpet and on hardwood floors. The grip is great, even on the carpet. The top side grip I would give a 4.5/5, because I tend to have sweaty hands and feet (thank you anxiety) and sometimes will begin to slip if I'm in a sustained vinyasana. But if I weren't as sweaty as I am it would be a definite 5/5! My feet rarely lose grip, they don't sweat as much as my hands. Anyway, it's a thinner mat so if you are someone who requires more padding for your knees or back or whatever, I would look for something thicker. Or find some padding to slip beneath this one! Also because it's thinner (and possibly because the surface is rougher) my animals LOVE attacking it... It's held up pretty dang well to the assaults but has a few tears in it from claws. I gave the durability a 4/5 stars. I would definitely purchase this mat again if mine becomes too worn, but I don't see that happening for some time (unless of course the dog gets at it, ugh). I love the colors on this mat! It’s very beautiful. It’s incredibly light—the lightest mat I own—and has a lot of cushioning so it’s great if you have sensitive knees. It comes with a carrying strap that is elasticized which is great at keeping it rolled up tight, but the strap doesn’t double as a yoga strap. The mat stays rolled at the ends after I unroll it, but will lay flat after a bit of time so if you’re taking it to a class, get there early and get your mat laid out to give it time. It has good grip, however I found that when I’m working hard and sweating, the underside of the mat (pictured with the waves) has a better grip than the top. It is reversible so that’s a bonus. I used it outside in high heat, high humidity and just turned it over and I didn’t slip at all. For the price point, this is a great mat! I would say it’s better than the other ones I’ve purchased at a similar price. Toplus sent me this mat free to use in my yoga practice. I love this mat the thick padding on our wood flooring gives my body the support it needs. It's not hard to pivot your feet or slide your hands going from one pose to the next, in fact it makes it easier having durability and the stickiness to keep you in place. This mat is easy to wipe down and roll up, doesn't take up space and it's lightweight. I love that I can take it anywhere because it has straps to hold it together, plus the 2 tone color is nice just flip to any side your in the mood for.It's a great buy for yourself and makes the perfect gift for anyone doing beginners or advance Yoga.

This yoga mat is just the perfect thickness. It's thick enough to be comfortable, but still firm enough to do yoga on. It's very long- which is perfect for me, because my kids like to join in when I'm doing yoga and there's enough room for one to use my mat with me! It has a different texture on each side. I prefer to use the side with the logo as the top side, but both sides can be used. I really love that it's eco-friendly, so I don't have to feel guilty about hurting the environment! I especially like that it came with a very convenient carrying strap. I do yoga at home, but this would be easy to take to and from a yoga class, and thanks to the strap I can actually store it on the wall out of my kids' reach. I got the blue/dark blue mat and the colors are vibrant and beautiful.I will be recommending this mat to friends and will be buying again!

I recently purchased this yoga mat, TOPLUS Yoga Mat - Classic 1/4 Inch Thick Pro Yoga Mat Eco Friendly Non Slip Fitness Exercise Mat with Carrying Strap-Workout Mat for Yoga, Pilates and Floor Exercises (Tranquil blue), from Amazon. I really, really, really wanted to love this mat as it is absolutely beautiful. However, for me, this mat has been very frustrating and I even switched it for a different mat in my yoga session this evening because I felt like I was about to hurt myself because I was slipping so much. This was not a hot yoga session, it was a relatively slow stretch session. Each down dog on this mat, makes me feel like I'm about to do a face plant at any moment. I am truly concerned I will seriously hurt myself.I think the mat would do great if I were always in tennis shoes as it would grip great there and seems to stick to the floor but for yoga and doing work with bare feet and hands it just did not work for me. Love the thickness and it is a really well made mat.
