A solid piece of equipment
The fruit press arrived damaged but Amazon were excellent and I received a replacement within a week. I live in Latvia. Have not used the press yet but looking forward to harvesting my grapes in Oct. Seens a very solid piece of equipment which i suspect will need to be attached to a large board before using. I like the fact that it dismantles to make washing and sterilising easier. I will update after using in October.

Long lasting if you take good care of it.
Can't wait for Apple season! Had one before but left it outside too long. My fault

It looks pretty....
Where to start? I'll be buying a new press for next years grapes. The product is over painted so when you start applying pressure, paint flakes off the top casting and the thread, also the bearing at the bottom of the threaded bar releases flakes of metal. I don't think that's very hygienic! I wasn't aiming at having potentially toxic paint and metal flakes in my grape juice. The handle that you use to apply pressure is held in place with a piece of metal foil rather than a solid pin, so that breaks. The whole press had to dismantled so that the broken metal could be drilled out and replaced with something more substantial. Once you manage to get a bit of pressure on your grapes the three outer supports start to bend, which didn't inspire confidence. Over all last year I had less grapes but got more juice by putting them in a mesh bag hung over a bucket and squeezing them with my hands. You live and learn...
