Overkill Heat Protection - Looks Amazing!
I used this to heat-wrap a new alternator wire for my 2005 Cadillac CTS-V. Do I need heat protection to 800°F? No, it's somewhat overkill. Does it look awesome in GOLD? Absolutely. Fits easily over my 1/0 AWG wire. (Would not try to go smaller than 3/4 for this gauge) - Had to use 2 of them because the run was so long on an LS6 engine. (Alternator is on bottom.) - A little more expensive than the silver, but I feel it is worth it if not just for the looks, but knowing your cable is extra protected.

Oil cooler lines
The media could not be loaded. I made a mistake based off someone else's review and forgot to account for the fittings at the end of the hoses on my 10an lines. So I cut them and used metal tip ties to wrap my lines since they will sit behind my watercooled alternator. Hope it holds up well.

Get a bigger size if you need to wrap 1/2"
OK If I buy a sleeve that states it is 1/2" it should be able to be slide over a 1/2" pipe. A piece of 1/2" of this material is only able to slide over about 2" of the same size OD pipe. It is too tight, Forces you to use 3/4" and that would look sloppy. A single MM larger in diameter. My other gripe is with this great world of technology why is this thing stitched so that it has a 1/2" flap along the whole length??? It's hideous. While this can be hidden by taping it down with the matching gold tape made by DEI, the tape does not adhere to it. I am going to shoot the tape with some 3M super 90 spray glue (rated to 250 degrees) and that should fix the adhesion problem. I shouldn't have to do things like this.Get your game together DEI
