cute but not so yummy
Super fun to do but the frosting is hard to put on, its really thick and you cant roll the pops like the directions say to, other than that my daughter loves it.

Worth it!😊
When I first opened it with my nephew he andI were amazed. We did the cake batter it turned out good and when we put it into the refrigerator it did not turn out round but it still tasted good. The blue and pink sprinkles were completely gone when dipped gently but still a good toy. Its was worth it.

After buying the donut kit I was a bit skeptical about using this kit because my son was not a big fan of the taste on the other kit but this kit was awesome!!! My son had a blast making them and these cake pops did not taste bad they of course weren't my favorite but my son loved them.

OK. hard to use
My 8 year old really wanted this for christmas and was delighted. I bought it, primarily because I wanted he to have something she could do by herself. We do a lot of baking together, and make real cake pops together, but it takes a lot of adult assistance, so I thought it would be nice for her to have something to do independently. She could follow all the directions, and put it together herself, which was nice. Unfortunatly, the included batter mix was difficult to use, and she couldn't seem to get the consistency right. The lid with the crank handle kept popping off, and the balls (pops) did not fill evenly. I thought we didn't put enough water in, and I helped her, adding more water than recommended, but the top stil kept popping off, and there was not close to enough to fill all four. The icing was kind of a mess, and I wasn't sure how a kid could reuse the sprinkles. An older, very organized kid might be able to manage this themseves, or it could be a good mother-daughter project.. But my daughter is pretty experienced in the kitchen, and I think she'll be able to bake her own cake pops before she can use this alone.

easy to use, a little time-consuming but fun
My daughters love using this and they think the cake pops are delicious. We definitely need more practice getting the cake pops more round, though. We probably won't use it too often since you have to set aside about an hour to get everything set up, made, decorated then clean everything. We're usually too busy :-/

Disappointment (Another One...)
UPDATE: With the problems we encountered with this product, as well as the horrible taste, this item along with two expensive ($17 each) refills went back to Amazon. I believe they should discoutinue this product. My daughter sadly saw a commercial for the Cool Baker Cake Pop Maker on TV and asked, repeatedly, to get this for Christmas. And since she asked Santa, it was hard not to fulfill her request (she's 5!).The assembly was very simple and took very little time. Mixing the ingredients was simple. However, like all other reviews, the product itself taste terrible (more like vile!!!). The product swirls into the molds and if refrigerated long enough seems to hold up well. But the taste of the pop itself is REALLY bad... something like gelatinous cake. The icing isn't bad, taste-wise, but does require a little more water than directed.I have been making cake pops for 5+ years so my daughter is accustomed to the taste and texture. She didn't mind the taste of these but from a mother's point-of-view this product is terrible. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

daughter couldnt wait to get this
i am generally against buying things like this...but my daughter had begged or this for xmas...i dint want to spend the money on an easy bake..because i have read negative reviews on it..so i opted for the cake pop maker...my 7 year old assembled it by her self..i only had to make a minor correction for her...other than that...she did it all by herself...the instructions are very simple...the clean up was not bad either(which is usually my biggest issue)...all and all it seems to be a fun cooking product for kids...i have not had a chance to taste them...but she said they are delicious...

Daughter loves it...but the cake pops are?
My 7-year old really wanted this for Christmas. She loves it -- but in truth, I think she really just loves the IDEA of cake pops. This toy is fun to use -- I will give it that. However, the cake pops "bake" in the fridge...and they taste awful. They congeal to something sort of cake-y but sadly, the eating part of the process is less fun than the making and decorating of the cake pops. The pops themselves just taste like chemicals. We've used this toy a couple of times -- and there is great value in following the instructions and working together to make something. I think the instruction cards are well designed (even emergent readers could understand the images) and the cake dispenser works well...I just wish I felt better about my daughter eating what she made...
