Clear and beautiful.

These bowls are good replacements for using with older Hunter Douglas Discovery (20168) ceiling fan or any fan needing a low profile bowl with a large center hole. Our original bowls were just a bit smaller(4" high x 11.5" diameter). So there was some worry that these bowls would still be too tall even at 4.5" and leave an unacceptably small gap between it and the blades . They fit well enough leaving about an inch gap to the blade arms. For fans that don't need a low profile bowl, these will work on them as well. As for looks, they look really nice. The white frosting is attractive and diffuses the light very well.-----I see different sizes mentioned in older posts. The item we ordered was listed as 13.5" diameter and 4.5" high.

This fit very well, easy to install (save your old hardware because this doesn't come with it - save yourself $10-15) and looks great! The shape and color is different than my last and I love that. The shape is prettier and the white looks so much better. I bought another for our downstairs fan that broke a long time and has a too small glass bowl 🤭

Great product

Had a ceiling fan with a globe that had a yellowish hue to it. Made the room look dark and yellow (obviously). Wanted something that was more neutral so ordered this. It turns out to be a little deeper than the original so it required some creativity to get it mounted properly. In my case, I had to cut a short length of PVC pipe to properly space the globe from the fan. Once that was done, I had the clearance I needed to safely operate the fan. Installing this product is obviously not rocket science. Simple process. Just be aware that you may need to adjust clearance. That is much easier to do than searching endlessly for a replacement with the same dimensions as the original.

Fit well and works! Made the room brighter than the previous amber colored shade.

The globe was missing from the ceiling fan in a house we bought. This worked perfectly and it looks beautiful.

I bought this bowl to put on my Hunter fan, to replace a bowl that had an ugly yellow tint. I was hoping the white swirled marble would look much nicer, and it did. But, believe it or not, less than 1/2 hour after I installed the bowl, I heard a sudden sound of glass cracking. The glass at the bottom of bowl had cracked! Over the next few minutes, the crack grew larger. Shortly thereafter, another cracking sound, and another crack appeared, which grew larger too! (I hope this shows up in the photo I took.) Please note: I let the globe acclimate to room temperature after it was delivered before I installed it. I gently hand tightened the retaining nut to hold the bowl in place. I did not even turn the fan's light on. I've installed dozens of fans over three decades, and I've never had a glass bowl that cracked the way this one did! So I returned the bowl. Would have been a five-star review if the product's quality was good. I gave it one star for good looks. (Happily, the Amazon return process was quick and easy, and the credit for the purchase price was issued promptly.)
