I have been using this monitor extensively, and I can confidently say it has exceeded my expectations. The first thing that stands out is the glossy WOLED panel. I came from a QD-OLED monitor with a matte coating, and despite all the discussions online, I personally prefer the image quality of this glossy panel. Colors appear richer, cleaner, and more vibrant, while the glossy finish gives the image noticeably better depth and clarity. The build quality is outstanding, as expected from ASUS ROG. Everything feels premium, from the stand to the OSD and overall design. One thing I want to mention because it confused me at first: when the monitor arrived, it was running firmware MCM103. Updating to MCM105 was incredibly easy using the USB cable and ASUS firmware tool. The whole process only took a few minutes and worked flawlessly. Another thing worth mentioning is that when I first received the monitor, I noticed the gray uniformity wasn’t perfectly even. I performed one manual Pixel Cleaning cycle, and afterward the gray uniformity became noticeably better. Since then, it has remained consistent. Regarding gray banding, my unit has only very slight gray banding, and it is only visible if you intentionally run dedicated gray test patterns. During actual gaming, movies, desktop use, or HDR content, I simply never notice it. I also contacted ASUS Technical Support regarding the automatic pixel refresh that occurs every time the monitor enters standby. They confirmed this behavior is completely normal and actually beneficial for panel health. They also explained that if your usage sessions are often less than one hour, it is perfectly normal to see the cleaning counter increase more frequently because the monitor performs shorter maintenance cycles whenever it has the opportunity. Knowing this gave me complete peace of mind. Another pleasant surprise is the standby wake-up speed. The monitor wakes almost instantly without any black screen delays or annoying issues, making daily use feel very smooth. Gaming performance is exceptional. Motion clarity is fantastic, input lag is extremely low, HDR looks excellent, and the glossy coating really helps highlights pop. Text is also surprisingly sharp for everyday work. Overall, this is one of the best gaming monitors I have ever owned. After updating to firmware MCM105 and understanding how the automatic panel maintenance works, I have been extremely happy with it. If you’re looking for a premium 4K OLED gaming monitor with outstanding image quality, excellent colors, fast wake-up from standby, and great ASUS support, I highly recommend it.

Had issues at first with it not wanting to turn in and detecting the display from my pc. But after a firmware update all the issues I have had with the monitor have gone away. The picture is amazing, brightness is more than enough for me and the glossy black is amazing!! I’m sure a lot of people will complain about it having the mirror finish but like… you should know what you’re buying before you complain about it. It isn’t Asus fault that you bought a black mirror knowing this and complaining. Anyways, this monitor replaced a Samsung g9 OLED which I had thought looked amazing to begin with but this blows it out of the water. There is a QD version of this monitor that people say technically looks better but it’s so close to one another that it won’t matter tbh.
